Had a lovely meal. Had a selection of pizzas which were all equally good. Service was good and the staff were very friendly. A great location with stunning views across the harbour .

Nestled on two floors overlooking the historic harbour, The Stable Weymouth offers an unbeatable setting to enjoy a huge selection of ciders, as well as mouthwatering sourdough pizzas. Diners can sit at rustic wooden barrel tables upstairs and look out over the boats on the water, all while enjoying gourmet tastes of the West Country.

Rustic tastes from the West Country are paired with gourmet pizzas on the Stable menu, made using produce from artisan UK suppliers. To start, there are sharers of Dorset meats and West Country cheeses, moving on to handmade pies with fillings like steak, ale, gammon and spiced butternut squash. A signature sourdough recipe is used for the pizzas, made fresh every day, and topped with gourmet additions like Denhay Farm dry-cured bacon, Dorset Blue Vinney cheese, and homemade Naga chilli harissa. There are also special kids' menus too, and vegan options.

A superb selection of proper British ciders are on tap at The Stable in Weymouth, which change depending on the season. There are also rich hot chocolates for dessert, indulgent creations like Nutella pizza pudding with mascarpone, and cider brandies to finish.

With rustic exposed brick and wooden beams throughout giving it a laid-back, cosy feel, The Stable Weymouth is a 12-minute walk from Weymouth Rail Station.

I've been to 4 different Stables and this was by far the worst of them. The food was great as it always is in any Stable but the service was terrible. The staff seem to have no clue to what they were doing. No-one appeared to have a specific role and they all seemed to be getting in each other's way. At one point I went up to the bar to order dessert to have to stand there 10 mins before being served then it took 35 mins for the dessert to arrive. While I appreciate it was quite busy (but not full), the staff need to have direction and a clear undeunderstanding of what they are supposed to be doing which it didn't appear they did. There was also an issue of children running around and standing on seats and generally getting in the way. While I understand that it is a family restaurant it is also a bar while drinks are served and I'm surprised no drinks were spilt because of unruly kids. On the plus side the restaurant was very nice and the Stable continue to lead the way when it comes to pizza and cider.
