It was our second visit. We thought everything was delicious and service was excellent too. Waiting staff were very knowledgeable about the menu.

Holder of a Michelin Bib Gourmand, The St Tudy Inn is a cosy Cornish pub celebrating the best seasonal produce from the surrounding areas. Simple rustic cuisine, real ales and fine wines are served in a charming setting, complete with an open fire and elegant décor.

The St Tudy Inn menu evolves with the seasons but may include the likes of 8oz sirloin with rustic chips and tarragon butter, pork belly with mash and red wine sauce, or line-caught mackerel with honey and spinach. Amongst the tempting desserts, sample fig and almond tart with clotted cream, or the rich chocolate tart with pouring cream.

Sunday lunch at The St Tudy Inn pub comes packed with meat and all the trimmings, as well as offering alternatives such as butternut squash risotto with truffle oil or ale-battered haddock with hand-cut chips. From the bar comes a range of local ales, world wines and classic cocktails.

Lovely smart spotless dining room and décor, friendly atmosphere and happy helpful knowledgeable staff. Food delicious, the fish, steak, & chocolate pot desserts were beautifully served. I did think the prosecco was a tad over priced at £7 per small glass?! other than that, what more can you ask for?! It makes such a change to go to a well run inn with delicious food! Its a shame there are so few places like yours! We will be back - many thanks.

We were the second time here and ejoyed the the food. We prefer the modern room because it‘s more quiet. The apero drink was watery and sweet, the wine card is ok. The prizes are fair for the food that is served. It would be good to add or replace some dishes by the time.

Food was good but not special. Service was good although humorless and very clipped.

We live locally and hadn't been back to the restaurant for a year because of bad service the last time we went, but we were ready to give it another go. We were delighted to find that the service had improved tremendously and the food was a delicious. We had guests with us who enjoyed it immensely and we will certainly come again.

great décor, delightful ambience. Lovely staff. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. scallops were beautifully cooked and presented. Risotto ditto. we all loved the puddings. menu choices were all slightly different to the norm. small complaint might be that we were waiting quite a long time for the main course.

We are locals and have known this establishment for many years, the latter in it's heyday. On this occasion, our party of three, who have met periodically at the St.Tudy Inn for lunch, had mixed opinions. On this occasion we chose from the March Monday Special menu. We had starters which, perhaps, are best described as difficult to locate on the plate and the taste equally difficult to recall.
Thereafter, two had the Battered Gurnard with fries which was very good however, I really do question why the Fries were served in an enamel mug on the plate: pure affectation with absolutely no practical benefit as my first act was to tip the fries onto the plate from where I could actually eat them with a knife & fork!
One of our party had the seafood risotto which he reported was a bit of a disappointment: a rather paltry portion and consisting mainly of rice but very little seafood so, rather tasteless.
However, the beer was good! The St. Tudy Ale , (Sharps rebranded), was a fine pint.
The service was good and the atmosphere agreeable, as always but, overal,l the lunch was borderline good value for what was served up.
Will we go back soon: probably not.

Overall the meal was very nice, however the dessert was a let down and really didn’t live up to my expectations. It wasn’t the best treacle tart I’ve eaten. For £7.50 I was expecting much better.

Lovely relaxing ambiance. Beautifully decorated. Loved the fires and the colour scheme. Fresh flowers. Service excellent staff knew their stuff when asked about dishes. Food fabulous.
