We booked here for a special birthday celebration. We had a small baby with us too.
The atmosphere at St Tudy was perfect for us; friendly, relaxed and unhurried. The staff were lovely and knowledgeable about their menu.
The food was fantastic, beautifully presented, good portions and delicious.

Holder of a Michelin Bib Gourmand, The St Tudy Inn is a cosy Cornish pub celebrating the best seasonal produce from the surrounding areas. Simple rustic cuisine, real ales and fine wines are served in a charming setting, complete with an open fire and elegant décor.

The St Tudy Inn menu evolves with the seasons but may include the likes of 8oz sirloin with rustic chips and tarragon butter, pork belly with mash and red wine sauce, or line-caught mackerel with honey and spinach. Amongst the tempting desserts, sample fig and almond tart with clotted cream, or the rich chocolate tart with pouring cream.

Sunday lunch at The St Tudy Inn pub comes packed with meat and all the trimmings, as well as offering alternatives such as butternut squash risotto with truffle oil or ale-battered haddock with hand-cut chips. From the bar comes a range of local ales, world wines and classic cocktails.

Delicious food as usual at St Tudy Inn. Good to see some new dishes on the menu, the Whitebait starter was delicious. The staff were friendly, welcoming and flexible. It was good to be able to eat outside late into the evening in this wonderful weather!

Food was very disappointing, monkfish tails was like deep fried scampi from the 1980’s and the fries were limp, cool and soggy. No vegetables provided whatsoever, like cheap pub grub, except it wasn’t cheap. Sorry won’t be going again until I hear positive reviews that the food has improved

Lovely restaurant. Very clean and lovely decor. Staff very pleasant. Food was great, but starter was very small. Main course was delicious, but could have been a little bit hotter.
    Pudding..gorgeous.
Toilets very clean and sweet smelling.
Bit pricey, but not your average steak and chips establishment.

Excellent food, in appearance and taste, was wholly let down by the small portions. This reached its extreme with the Eton Mess dessert which was a mere few crumbs and a smear of cream on my plate. The sauvignon blanc was not chilled when it was presented, unforgivable at these prices and in a restaurant claiming to be high class. My message given to the managers as was that I could have been delighted but unfortunately left very disappointed. I cancelled a forward reservation as I do not want to have to apologise to my guests for small portions and warm white wine. I have given this feedback to the manageress by telephone.

We enjoyed the relaxed setting. The radishes to share were lovely and fresh.
John Dory Special was perfectly cooked. My wife enjoyed the roast beef, which was beautifully tender. The Bakewell tart was a disappointment didn’t have a wow factor. There was no clotted cream and I didn’t get any raspberries at first, I needed to ask. Yet, all’s well that ends well.

The food we had was absolutely delicious. We had the special fish stew, and the chicken parfet. The staff were charming. Unfortunely you seared us at a table for three next to a very loud group of 11 men, and one women who seemed intent on outspeaking each other. We did move to the bar to finish our drinks etc in desperation, but perhaps in future you could have either seated us in the bottom level, or put the group at the end of the upper dining room. It did certainly spoil our experience.
