Fabulous meal ! Manager was amazing ! Think a few more staff are needed, they were running around trying to keep everyone happy ! Poor manager was answering the phone ordering serving pulling pints and just about anything else ! She's a gem Would eat here again !!!!

We arrived at 1.15 and waited until 2.45 for our meals. One sharing meal was cold, another was just awful, supposed to be King Prawn, crab & chorizo linguine; no sign of any crab, approximately 4-5 tiny prawns and 4 pieces of chorizo with added cut up tomatoes. Absolutely no taste whatsoever. Could have been thrown together by a 10 year old!! When we complained we were told the wait was because they were busy!! (Which it wasn't when we arrived) however that is not an acceptable excuse. Then was advised it was their most popular dish like that was supposed to make a difference. We were asked if we wanted something else but we said it would take too long if the wait was as before but was then told she would get the chef to cook it straight away. So why didn't that happen in the first place?? When we declined we were told by the very arrogant manageress that we could leave as soon as we wanted and there would be no charge. Out of four meals one was ok which was a burger. So all in all my lunch with my two daughters and my granddaughter was ruined and we went home hungry!!

Beautiful restaurant amazing food - dined from festive menu which had great choice & very reasonably priced. All 3 courses 10/10!! The only reason this is not a 5* review is that our table was not available when we arrived and we were directed to wait at the bar after 25 mins enquired if table was ready & staff member pointed to corner & we needed to find our table that had clearly been ready for a while but we had been forgotten in the bar. However this did not spoil our dining experience - can't wait for another visit soon!

What a terrible dining experience. we waited over an hour for the starters because of a "system failure" in the kitchen, even though only one of the staters involved any cooking. The kids meals were an even longer wait so they were going up the walls. The London Pride was cloudy and when asked to take it back, the waitrose insisted it was supposed to look like that. The sticky chicken was dry and over cooked and the fish cakes given as a replacement were burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside. Although the manager apologised and took the kids meals off the bill, the lunch was ruined. not the first experience of bad dining here, but it will be the last. The Spring Tavern is out of chances.
