Restaurant description
Enclosed by the wild countryside of Northumberland, The Snowy Owl is on the site of an old farm, with pastoral tradition a strong influence. The cuisine is classically British pub fare, and it has a fitting rustic stone appearance. Featuring a pretty beer garden for summer and a warming log-fire for winter, eclectic furnishings diversify the welcoming atmosphere.
Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Snowy Owl menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Snowy Owl Rest ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.
At just 4 minutes’ driving from Cramlington, The Snowy Owl is a peaceful country destination, while being close to a town.

We dined here on Saturday night. We were shown to our table and given menus. I chose the roast chicken dinner. I didn't want chips so I asked for a jacket potato or boiled potatoes. Unfortunately the restaurant doesn't do jacket potato ( which I think is odd). I also asked for a side dish of mixed vegetables. My husband had a steak. Our waitress was very tenatative and was very eager to please. Although the meal was expensive it was cooked well. The restaurant had a lovely atmostphere and was nice and clean. We will return but not every week as we can't afford to.

Enjoyable meal, efficient, friendly staff and attractive restaurant. We had Sea Bass which was very good and an apple pie dessert which was lovely. Observing other diner’s meals, they all looked very appetising. Will certainly go again.

Beautiful food and lovely service! Sunday dinner was spot on! Chairs were comfortable and you didn't feel too close to the other tables. Would definitely go back!
