Restaurant description
Formerly part of a stately home, The Snow Goose enjoys unique panoramic views over the Moray Firth, which can be enjoyed from the extensive, lush gardens. Serving well-loved British pub food, and featuring a cosy hearth for winter dining, The Snow Goose is a grand old pub. The interior is adorned with rustic beams and stone, and the exterior has an impressive arch over the entrance.
Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Snow Goose menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Snow Goose Rest ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.
Despite its location outside the city, close to the seafront, The Snow Goose is only 5 minutes’ drive into central Inverness.

I've been to the Snowgoose on several occasions and they never let me down. I always have the hunters chicken or burger as I can be a bit of a food bore, but I tried the chicken and leek pie and it was gorgeous. I also had my first pudding as I was with company that prefers pudding over a starter, so I tried the chocolate & peanut butter cheesecake and it was lovely. Fast service as per usual.

Plus: Meal was good, but no pies left (Chicken, Beef and Fish, which unfortunately, we were going to choose from), however, the Burger was okay. Lady serving was good and pleasant. Minus: The table was next to a 1 metre archway at the very back of the restauarant, and it was too large, which meant that the person (me) sitting on the outside of the table was continuously banged and rocked by people trying to get by. Suggestion: Make this one large (but thinner) table for 4 people so that it can be shifted nearer to the centre of the long sitting area. Currently, it also poses a Health and Safety problem IF there is a fire or emergency - it is partially blocking an exit. I am a HSE Consultant so I know what I am talking about when it comes to Health and Safety.
