Formerly part of a stately home, The Snow Goose enjoys unique panoramic views over the Moray Firth, which can be enjoyed from the extensive, lush gardens. Serving well-loved British pub food, and featuring a cosy hearth for winter dining, The Snow Goose is a grand old pub. The interior is adorned with rustic beams and stone, and the exterior has an impressive arch over the entrance.
Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Snow Goose menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Snow Goose Rest ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.
Despite its location outside the city, close to the seafront, The Snow Goose is only 5 minutes’ drive into central Inverness.

Dining experience not favourable. So many items were not available on the main menu. No steaks of any kind, salmon etc to name a couple. Our waitress, Nadia, was marvellous. She was so apologetic as some of us had not just a second but third choice on menu due to unavailable dishes. Not Nadias’ fault as she is not responsible for ordering. Some other customers were quite rude to her because of this. She handled the situation with patience and dignity.

We had family visiting and wanted somewhere that would cater for everyone,The Snow Goose was perfect. Round table so everyone could join in conversation. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food good. Special meal deals too.

Soggy chips, soggy onion rings, chicken tough, burger inedible, but each not on all 5 mains! Every one of us had a problem that others didn't have. Explanation given was that the kitchen had just been very busy with a very large group. Maybe we had some food cooked off earlier (for the group?) shared amongst us? Puddings awesome. Overall we were all disappointed.

We had a great meal on Saturday night, the waitress was friendly and very informative about the menus. The restaurant was quiet but the service was excellent.

It was ok..venue lovely and warm loved the open fire. Quite slow service and a very burnt pizza for my child. Complained and had this removed from bill. No apology as such or any offer to get any other food for my child.

Dining Experience - one word - atrocious ! Decided to try this place from our usual for a Sunday roast. The biggest mistake I made. Ordered roast beef. Obviously the chef has no pride in what he/she presents to the customer. The Yorkshire pudding was dried out and burnt - had to request another. Should have been present with a steak knife as the meat was so tough. Majority of the parsnips were burnt. The roast potatoes were soggy. Everything looked like it had just been slapped on the plate. I must give ten out of ten for the gravy though. Two of the other diners had two different types of burgers. One was suppose to come with a salad which we had to ask for. Both diners said their onion rings were saturated with oil (probably down to not being drained long enough). The actual onion content was lacking. We highlighted our dissatisfaction to the waiter (who was very good) and we even asked if the chef had 'been on the town the night before' and 'how long had he been there'. Initially we were offered a free coffee which we declined. On leaving they decided to deduct the roast dinner from the meal and two coffee - It was never about the money. All I wanted was a good Sunday roast and I shall not be returning here. I will stick with Fairways.

Meal was less than ok , one of the diners found a long hair in her burger and I'm dairy intolerant and food choice was very poor . The man serving us ( ?manager ) needs pay more attention to his personal hygiene especially when leaning over us to place plates down, I understand how busy they all were and they were very nice and polite. Hopefully on our next visit it will be a more positive feedback .
