A 16th-century former house, The Sergison Arms in Haywards Heath has kept its homely feel but is a classic British country pub, serving an extensive menu of favourites. With a vintage interior design, featuring Chesterfield sofas, cute candles and chunky oak beams, you can enjoy the food from the warming hearth, or from the pretty beer garden.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Sergison Arms menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Sergison Arms ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

In Haywards Heath, The Sergison Arms is nestled in a remote part of the West Sussex countryside.

Overall, the meal was somewhat disappointing.

Food was cold. The food itself was just Warm, looked over cooked on the plates and was not given with any personal touch or personality from Waitress and Waiter who served the Sweet.
Understaffed. Waiting too long between courses. Sunday Lunch is not a pleasure when you feel you’re inconveniencing the Waitress/Waiter. Our Waitress was flustered and very much over worked with too many tables to tend to.
We were seated at a table
in a place that my guest had to keep standing to move his Chair when anybody wanted to get passed him and was right next to steep step. We would have preferred to be away from entrance/exit door so we weren’t in the way, a nerve racking experience when eating and customers passing so close to get out of the restaurant, even one customer had a massive Baby Buggy with a few guests and we all had to re-position ourselves and stand up to move our table to give room for the customers to get out.

The food is always Excellent I have now dined with you 6 times, twice in the past week. Last Thursday I had Scampi as all chicken choices were not available..Yesterday I had the roast beef excellent. For desert I ordered Bramble apple pie with only ice cream ( not including custard ) my portion of ice cream was minute. I expected a double portion of ice cream. !!!! Plenty of parking space.

Six friends visited and enjoyed it. Between us we had scampi, salmon, chicken wings, chicken pie, all very good. Desserts were all nice. Good service and prices average.

We visited the Sergison Arms as a result of getting a voucher after receiving a bad meal and indifferent service at Devils Dyke. The experience last evening was completley diffirent and enjyable. Our table assistant Heather was very attentive and the meal enjoyabe..

Came here for Sunday lunch. Lovely pub with nice food. Service was slow so don't go here if you're in a hurry!

Good waitress service but food left much to be desired this time. We eat here reasonably often but this time the food was dry and of a poor standard.

My wife and i had the Vintage tasting platter as a starer which we could not fault.. For the main course i chose the chicken and leek pie which again was lovely plenty of flavour and nice fresh vegetables, My wife had the fish and chips! triple-cooked chips no ! although they where very nice they were not triple cooked but im afraid to say the fish had been, the amount of fish in the over cooked beer batter was very very small which was a shame. We did mention this to the waitress who said she would pass this on to the kitchen. We have eaten there before and will do again and if we do choose fish and chips again will make sure the kitchen knows which should be triple cooked !!!!.
