Tucked away in the peaceful suburb of Rickmansworth, The Scotsbridge Mill is a gastro pub with a working mill. With clean design and plenty of natural light, the dining room serves British dishes with a Mediterranean flair, and a selection of wines, ales and lagers.

With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Scotsbridge Mill menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest available ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.

The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar at The Scotsbridge Mill pub showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at the bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and eclectic sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.

The Scotsbridge Mill in Hertfordshire is just a 9-minute walk from Rickmansworth Railway Station.

Having requested a table by a window to be given one by a wall in the 'conservatory' was a bad start. The restaurant was still empty at 12.10. We were early for a 12.30 booking. On sufferance the "not so friendly meet and greet person" did change us.
Menu limited for vegetarian. However the food was good.
Service and waitress were very good.

Not great. Service very slow. Run out of items on dessert menu

Fantastic food, helpful service, lovely atmosphere. Some drinks not available (sparkling water, mojito, favourite wine)

Unfortunately, I was not that impressed. I took my dad there for his 83rd Birthday. He wanted a plain roast beef meal. However, they could not provide the beef without all the added sauces (mustard and red onion). Therefore, he ended up with a plain beefburger and chips! My husband and I had the roast chicken. The chicken was hot but the roast potatoes, carrots, cabbage and Yorkshire pudding were all luke-warm. They didn't even have the drink I wanted (an Appletiser).
On another note, the music was too loud. I have never complained about anything before but I felt very bad for my dad.

Five of us dined, all had a different dish and everyone enjoyed their meal. Very well presented

Shown to a ground floor table which was dark and loud music so we asked and were changed to a first floor table with fabulous view over the river Chess. Service, food and presentation was faultless as always. Our favourite local restaurant by far.

It was excellent apart from the fact they had no knowledge of my booking because YOU hadn't informed them. WE WERE NOT VERY HAPPY AT ALL. And I would like an explanation.

Warmly greeted and shown to table. Good service, no hassle
