What better way to enjoy a Sunday than in a cosy country pub with a great selection of British roasts starting from £6.95 – served all day and evening on Sundays using the freshest seasonal ingredients.
With a working mill which dates back to the 12th century, a water wheel and beautifully landscaped decking overlooking the River Avon, The Saxon Mill is a traditional stone building which has been converted to a gastro pub, serving a menu of modern British cuisine. The open plan restaurant & bar feature log fires, stone & wooden flooring, and open kitchens, as well as a glass window cutaway in the floor, where water can be seen flowing under the building.
With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Saxon Mill menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest available ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.
The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The Saxon Mill bar in Guys Cliffe. Nostalgic British nibbles and eclectic sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.
The Saxon Mill in Warwickshire is a 3-minute drive from Warwick Rail Station.

My husband really enjoyed the steak. The deep fried brie was really nice as well. It was very efficient service would have been a bit better if a little bit longer between starter and main but it was very busy on a Friday evening.

I took a friend of mine to the Saxon Mill to celebrate her birthday and I was hoping for, and got, a special meal for us both. The staff are friendly. welcoming and effecient. The venue is very attractive and the food is superb - marry that to a very good range of wines and beers and you are onto a winner. Advisable always to book as it is rightly very popular

Good food magnificent surroundings and good service if a little slow but in fairness there was a wedding on and I prefer to be served a little slower rather than made to feel I'm in a fast food restaurant. Definitely recommend!!

the Saxon Mill is a beautiful setting and we are regular customers, bit I was disappointed with our last visit as I had to send my starter of scallops back twice, they were very busy and took them off the bill, everything else was fine. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody, hoping that this was a one off.

The welcome by staff was good, had a great table overlooking the river. The food was good as was service. Will be going back. On the down side the Decor was a little tired.

My friend and I dined here on 19th March whilst we were on a short trip to Warwick. The Saxon Mill is very 'olde worlde' and delightful. The food in the restaurant was very good and excellent value for money. However, the service was very poor. A long wait between courses (40 minutes wait for one cheese board and one ice-cream we felt was was a bit excessive) Overall not a bad dining experience but it was let down by the poor service.

Myself & my husband really enjoyed our visit to The Saxon Mill. The food was excellent especially the 'lamb rump' . The ambience was perfect and we would recommend to friends & family!

The service was attentive and our waiter was well informed about the food and wine. The food was perfectly cooked and well balanced.
