Found within one of London’s most famous 5-star hotels, afternoon tea at The Savoy is served beneath a domed glass ceiling which floods this space with natural light, and a live pianist offering a calming musical accompaniment.
A long-time member of the benchmark-setting Tea Guild, The Savoy’s afternoon tea is meticulously crafted in-house by Executive Pastry Chef, Daniel Pearse. Enjoy a stand of finger sandwiches and homemade scones served with clotted cream, and strawberry jam made to a treasured Savoy recipe. To follow, a range of delicious seasonal-themed cakes and pastries are served tableside from a silver platter.
Rare teas sourced from China, India, Sri Lanka and Iran are served in the finest polished silverware and delicate china tea ware, while flutes of chilled champagne can be selected for an extra-indulgent afternoon tea in London. Guests can also visit the on-site patisserie, where a menagerie of sweet treats are served alongside chocolates crafted by in-house chocolatiers.
One of the capital’s most celebrated afternoon tea experiences, The Savoy on the Strand sits 5 minutes’ walk from Charing Cross station.

Fantastic service. I have a lot of food allergies and also suffer with coeliacs disease so can be quite challenging to cater for. Not only did they cater fantastically for me, there was no awkwardness or bother.
The atmosphere was wonderful and they even bought out a surprise birthday cake for my Grandmother which wasn’t ordered but was greatly appreciated.
I have been here before and to most of the top end afternoon teas in London and the Savoy is the best of all of them. Highly recommended.

Absolutely excellent with a beautiful ambience. I took my friend here for her 60th birthday treat and they made us very welcome and special from beginning to end. The service was exceptional they offered us a first class service throughout our tea, nothing was too much trouble. We really enjoyed the tea especially the sandwich fillings and the cakes were amazing. It was truly a wonderfully memorable experience.

I booked this place for my wife's birthday, the moment we arrived the service was out of this world we were escorted in to a amazing tea room and show to a immaculate afternoon tea time arranged table. We were given a menu each of things we were going to have on the day, after we chose our blend of tea it arrived within five minutes and the selections of amazing sandwiches, scones and cakes arrived in ten minutes and every thing was explained to us. They also got my wife a birthday cake and played happy birthday on the piano for her my wife was over the moon. We were in this amazing place for over two hours enjoying our selves we were looked after like king and queen. I highly recommend it to everyone...

Having previously enjoyed Tea at the Savoy and recommended it to several friends was very disappointed to return and not find the same enjoyable experience. Service was poor,. Tea luke warm, and a hair in the cup. This was greeted with an 'oh dear' I had to ask for a clean cup. Sandwiches and scones were good though jam and cream very sparing, cakes poor..
