Setting exceptional. Lady who greeted us was a bit cool but Enzo and Lewis were outstanding. Our booking was for 17.15 and we had to wait, with no explanation, for 5-10 minutes for our table. Loved the atmosphere, specifically the piano player. Sandwiches were amazing. Quiche delicious. Cakes mediocre to be honest, I have had better. This could partly be because we had cakes with no nuts? I registered my sisters nut intolerance prior to our visit and my details were confirmed as noted, but they still brought out cakes including nuts. They took them all away when we mentioned the nut intolerance ( I don’t feel like a reminder should have been necessary!) and we waited, far too long, for replacements. Luckily we had our scones, which were sublime. New cakes were brought out (don’t know why all cakes provided were nut free as only one of us had the intolerance) and we enjoyed the remainder of our experience. Final note, loved the ‘birthday cake’ they brought for my sister, lovely touch. I cannot give a five for the overall experience as it was not exceptional, as it should be, for the money paid and the tradition of the venue.

The service at the Savoy was incredible. Great setting and staff made you feel very welcome. I was however very disappointed with the food. The presentation was great but the cakes and sandwiches were mediocre. For an afternoon of indulgence it was not worth the calories and we left so much food behind. Would not recommend for afternoon tea have certainly had much better for the price.

Pastries were pedestrian and did meet my expectations for refined taste and complexity of creation Cited multiple times the reservation was made to celebrate my sons graduation which they commented on upon our arrival but no acknowledgement was made with a gesture Otherwise excellent sandwiches, scones and accompaniments. Staff was professional and pleasant

All three of us are ushers from our city New Theatre Royal. We took our theatre mascot with us and photographed the bear around the restaurant from the doorman to the table servers, also the pianist, she joined in. the food was excellent, trying the teas, which there were many to choose from was an experience in its self. Near the end of our visit, the waiter knowing that we were from the theatre brought out a table plate with the inscription “Welcome Theatre Royal Lincoln”, which was a very personalised touch and for the waiter to acknowledge us and act on it. We commend all the staff we talked to and participated in our theatre promotion. A very memorial and touching experience, which when we are in London again we will return. We thank you all.
