A colourful venue spread out across two floors, The Rum Kitchen Notting Hill offers laid-back Caribbean vibes for the whole family. Tuck into jerk chicken specialities, or move downstairs to the basement to try something from the huge rum selection, all to a proper reggae soundtrack.

The Rum Kitchen menu pulls together all the Caribbean favourites, with plenty of colour and spice. Nibble on jerk wings, island-spiced fried squid and sweetcorn fritters, before moving on to signature jerk chicken served with additions like gravy, sweet potato mash and pineapple. There are towering burgers, and larger plates with mouthwatering flavours like red snapper, West Indian veg curry, and shredded salads with exotic fruits.

A massive selection of imported rums are served from the bar at The Rum Kitchen in Notting Hill, which go into the celebrated cocktail list filled with signature creations. There are also beers from Jamaica and Barbados, and plenty of soft drinks too.

With its colourful, rustic beach shack style and bustling ambience, The Rum Kitchen is a proper Caribbean restaurant in London. Ladbroke Grove Tube Station is a 7-minute walk away.

Frankly, I was extremely disappointed. After waitig an hopur for the food, it finally arrived in the most disorganised fashion. Certain people were brought their sides half an hour before their main arrived. Others were given their dish without their gravy. This gravy was then brought twenty minutes later when their food was cold. For some, the gravy didn't arrive at all and I was forced to abandon my meal and run upstairs to the kitchen to retrieve it. Further, trhe runners who were bringing us our meals were completely incompetent. As well as being quite rude, they had no idea what the dishes they were carrying actually were which meant that it took far too much time to locate who it belonged to. In fact, I uended up having to take up the role of waitress- sereving people's food to them, going to the kitchen to inquire after dishes and get people condiments and also checking everyone had cutlery and enough tap water to drink. Overall, these factors made my dining experience terribly stressful and I will not be returning to The Rum Kitchen Notting Hill in a hurry.

Chose The Rum Kitchen for a bit of a change and wasn’t disappointed. The food was excellent—I’d particularly recommend the belly pork ribs, but everything we had was lovely. The ambience was slightly lacking, but it was an odd time of day. And the quality of the food and friendliness and helpfulness of the staff made up for it being a little quiet. I look forward to going back and seeing what it’s like in the evening.

My main, mutton curry was lovely. Dessert options were poor. Nice casual restaurant. Freezing cold though. Air-con was on full-blast on a wet and cold October day.

I was served by a really friendly lady. Food arrived quickly. We went at happy hour so selective cocktails were only £5 which was great. Authentic Caribbean food.

I really loved Rum Kitchen: great food, great staff and very cosy! My only minor gripe was the price for a large glass of wine. However, the good far outweighs the bad and I recommend that everyone spends an evening at the Rum Kitchen in Notting Hill!

An excellent evening thank, our first visit but we will certainly be back and are already recommending you to family and friends. The highlight has to be the exceptionally helpful, friendly and attentive service, sadly all to rare nowadays so many congratulations. Please pass on our thanks to your team. All the food choices were excellent, the starters in particular. Thank you for a memorable evening. We look forward to visiting you again.
