Amazing service with attentive staff! Afternoon tea was great with a range of teas available to complement the food.
20 December 2015
I've been to numerous afternoon teas including the Ritz, Dorchester to name a few. I was really looking forward to this one on Sunday 20th December because it was festive and also as it was my first time at the Mandarin. The rosebery lounge is simply stunning and the tea was presented very well. This booking marked a special occasion for my family and thus we wanted something special. Unfortunately from here onwards things went downhill. The four teas we had ordered were cold and the waitress simply just placed on the table without actually asking who which tea belonged to. Shortly after this the tea platter arrived. We found a blond hair which certainly was not ours as my sister wears a head covering. The oriental waiter was very nice and promptly replaced the plate. We all expected the experience to be amazing and in par with the other exclusive aternoon teas in London. This was so disappointing for me and certainly not one il be including in my blog any day soon. A big let down simply because of the disappointing service.

It was wonderful. Walked in & was greeted by a lovely roaring fire & our reserved seats were right by the fire. The ambience was lovely & all the staff were so polite & courteous. The sandwiches were lovely, we were asked if we would like some more & it would have been rude not to have accepted so we duly indulged. My latte that I had was luke-warm so I asked for it to be made hotter & it was each time after that so I was very happy. The whole experience was wonderful & my husband & I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves & left feeling replete.

This was my second afternoon tea here, and I loved it just as much. Cannot wait to be back when they change to a different menu. Definitely in my top 3 for London. Great service, without it being too overbearing. The food is delicious, I love how they roll up the sandwiches to look like sushi rolls - more filling, less bread, we have a winner. Scones were fresh out of the oven and their rose petal jelly is a favourite of mine. The pastries were super yummy and the tea selection lovely, as before. Also enjoyed a cocktail based on sake and champagne. And their tea service is just the prettiest ever. Yes, really love this place. A bit on the pricey side, but it's definitely worth it, especially if you land a cocktail included deal like we did.

The perfect setting to experience an amazing and iconic attratcion, we arrived early and were immediatly submersed into a world of perfection, we sat by the window overlooking HN . The afternoon tea was explained in perfect detail down to the style and thought of the chef. We enjoyed every moment and mouthfull of our afternoon and will be returning with friends soon enough!
