Restaurant description

Towering over Trafalgar Square, the Rooftop at The Trafalgar St. James currently serves an Alpine inspired menu, inspired by French, Italian, Swiss and Austrian cuisines, and individually crafted Veuve Clicquot cocktails alongside inimitable views of London’s most impressive architectural icons. The Rooftop features three unique spaces: The Gallery, from which guests can enjoy breath-taking views, The Deck, which houses a sun-drenched conservatory, and Room, a glass-enclosed private dining space, which can be booked for events. The Rooftop has both alfresco and canopy-covered seating, as well as a retractable roof, outdoor heaters and blankets, making it an all-year-round destination and the perfect location to watch London change with the seasons.

It was really good. The views are fantastic (and this is coming from someone who knows many places with views in London and in many other countries, including the highest rooftop in the world in Bangkok). The three courses offer was better than expected: well served, good proportion, good quality. The staff was extremely polite, helpful. I was outside for a while but it was getting too cold (I had a cold and did not want to push it) and we moved inside, which also have excellent views. So, do not discourage if you do not find a table outside. I ll definitely go again, with better weather.

it was a great night and the staff really looked after us. It was very busy on the terrace though and that is where the main attention was. Will look forward to returning in the summer. Hadn't realised food was chalet style - great fondue but was a little awkward for a friend who had given up cheese for lent!

We had a really enjoyable evening here. Food was a bit different and excellent (being keen skiers we all loved the Alpine theme). Service was impeccable and the views were just amazing. After a day of pouring rain, we were so lucky to have a clear evening to really appreciate the location. Will definitely be back!

View was amazing but the experience was ruined by the misinformed staff and the terrible food. The staff were confused about the deal and tried to under sell it to us. We had to repeat ourselves 4 times to explain what the deal included. Once the food came out it was cold, well presented but the cheese on top had gone solid. Staff wouldnt acknowledge that I, a woman, was paying for the bill.
