Warm greeting on arrival and fantastic service. Decor was lovely. Goats cheese and mushroom quiche was amazing and only sandwich I didn’t like was the beef, due to it having English mustard in. On the whole I would love to return.

Unfortunately not impressed with the restaurant. No one was available to greet us at the door. Glasses were forgotten when we were given drinks. The menu for vegetarians was very poor. The staff were inattentive. I asked for simple things like a bread roll and these couldn’t be provided. The restaurant and hotel have a very upmarket feel but it feels like a lot of attention has been paid to the decor and not much else. However, the price of food was very reasonable.

Was disappointed there was only the set menu available and not the ala carte - this wasn’t made clear on booking. The service was very slow, had to ask for drinks twice and for bread twice that still never came. The food was nice. Although we ordered red wine the white wine glasses weren’t replaced with larger red ones. Overall not a great experience

We went for tea based on a recommendation of a friend. The quality was excellent, the tea came in a variety of types to suit your taste and the food was far too much for us to eat! Overall a good place for a very nice afternoon tea.

An interesting experience. The best thing was the friendliness of the staff. The emptiness of the place was a little disconcerting but the food was reasonable, nothing outstanding. Quite expensive so we chose cheaper options. Paying exorbitant price for parking didn’t help.

This was a special occasion for my mum's 80th birthday. We were the only customers for afternoon tea that day. The food was excellent and actually far too much. However I was disappointed that there was nothing special for my mum, despite mentioning this on the booking and also found the service a bit slow.

I booked afternoon tea as a surprise for our 36th wedding anniversary. It was amazing! The food was beautiful and the staff were very attentive. Great value for money! Highly recommend this venue.

Lovely afternoon tea for six of us to celebrate a birthday. Food was delicious.. Would have preferred an explanation of the teas rather than the box set. Needed more refills of tea too.Sandwiches, scones and cakes all amazing.Perhaps a corner, round seating would have worked better for our party.Thank you.

Came for afternoon tea, tea selection was good but no English breakfast tea, this had to be requested. Lighting was a bit dark. Sandwiches were good, some of the cakes were a bit dry.
