Not an enjoyable experience. Even though we were late for our booking due to unforeseen circumstances we were sat outside in the cold on a table that was not under any of the outdoor heaters even though there were tables that were free. The cocktail that was included in the 3-course menu tasted like fruit punch. The meal portions were tiny, what was there of the starters and desert were tasty however the main course of lamb was extremely fatty. Disappointing as we had left our nearby hotel to come to eat here upon reading such good reviews. The atmosphere in the bar area appeared toxic as he had to fight our way through the guests who were not willing to move out of the way so we could access the restaurant and as we left the hotel there was a lot of screaming and shouting from people in the doorway. Safe to say we will not be returning or recommending to others

Went for lunch at the Sanderson with a group of girls as part of our xmas day shopping in town. The set menu food was lovely as was the cocktail but there was no Christmas ambience at all in the lunch area and the service was quite poor. Overall disappointing.

We went to the Sanderson for a birthday meal. We have dined there before and had a delicious meal previously which was the reason for our return visit. This time I booked the set menu which was rather underwhelming. The starters (crab) whilst lovely was a very small serving and the cheese course was miniuscule. I cannot fault the staff or the setting and the staff at the cocktail bar were very good with an extremely prompt service. We were

I visited with the Star deal and had a great time. The restaurant is beautiful with great service. Even though it is in a courtyard it was nice and warm. The food was tasty and served quickly and efficiently. No complaints and I felt it was good value for money!

The staff were great and despite The Sanderson being 18 years old now, it still has a magical feel and a really cool vibe.

The service was excellent, very good food and overall a nice atmosphere. The venue is more contemporary and fairly loud. We were fortunate that it wasn't too busy on a Thursday evening.

I was a bit early for my table, so I had a drink at the bar. Although quite pricey, the service and the drink were excellent. Our hostess/ waitress for the evening was very polite and well presented and her energy levels were good. The food was delicious. I had the pigs head starter, the lamb main and the chocolate torte dessert. The consensus of the group was a very good evening. We were sat by the flamingo fountains where it is possible to see the sky as it is not covered over. That was lovely as it was a very warm evening.
