The food was good, as usual, but the service was dreadful. Despite having booked for 12 noon, it took 45 minutes before our order was taken and when the food eventually appeared, our orders were mixed up with the table beside us- we were the only 2 tables in the restaurant. We were served by 3 different servers, although only ever saw one at a time. Fortunately we weren't in a hurry!!!

I can recommend the turkey sandwiches they were delicious. We sat in the terrace and it was gorgeous and warm . . . .didn't want to go back to work. Loved the Christmas trees and decorations. Thank you and Merry Christmas to all of the staff x

The staff are always very welcoming and professional. We like this hotel as we are made to feel at home; nothing is too much trouble.

We called in for breakfast during a long journey, as we have done before. An excellent alternative to Motorway service areas! Very good cooked breakfast and/or cereal, fruit, yoghurt etc. We'll call again.

Had a wonderful meal. The food was excellently cooked and the staff were very warm and welcoming. The fish and chips were extremely good and that's often difficult to achieve!

Very quiet on a Sunday Lunchtime so just the regular menu.
Fish & Chips were on the greasy side but the Burger was ok.
Unfortunately the first half of ale served was off but replaced with a different barrel which was ok.
Having asked the usual 'is everything ok' one waitress seemed non plused at being told what we thought.
A tad on the dear side for little more than 'pub lunch
    Disappointing

We enjoyed a dinner package my wife went for the chefs table with an assortment of fish and meat dishes followed by a 16 inch steak while I went for the daily 3 course special of chefs table, risotto, berry trifle followed by coffee. The food was washed down by an Australian shiraz ,service was very good. Would highly recommend the food.in pleasant surroundings.

The only ting of regret we were overcharged just like the bar an hour earlier. However following a timely intervention this was resolved.

Nice venue, very relaxed. Nice food although expensive for what it is. Coffee was almost £5.00 per cup which is more than Costa so very over priced!?
