We dinned at the Kettering Park hotel both nights of our stay and had a lovely table outside, the staff where very friendly and helpful, We love the chef's table and there was a good selection on the first night, on the second night my husband had the chef's table as a starter again, and i was gong to have this as a main, but when he returned from selecting his starter plant he said i may what to take a look first as the choice was very limited, so i reordered from the menu. All the food we had during our stay was prepared and presented well.

Fantastic meal! The complimentary champagne was a welcome surprise; the chefs table was the best starter we have ever had - so many different tastes and the option to just choose what you like; and the main course and dessert also tasty and nicely presented!
Staff were friendly and polite providing excellent service. All at a very reasonable price.

We had a very nice meal the chefs table was great main course was lovely i.e beef, lamb etc the only thing I would say was that the plates were not very warm and the meal went cold quite quickly. One of our party could not eat anything with eggs in it and she was accomodated very well by our waitress who was very helpful.
Dessert was very good and service also.

Restaurant was fine although they did not appear to be expecting us, and we were sat near a door through which a chill draught blew. We all had roasr dinners and it would have been better if the vegetables had ben put on the table rather than being pre-plated. they also ran out of plates for the starter table and took a good few minutes to get more

The restaurant looked nice. The waiting staff, whilst polite, were very young and seemed very very inexperienced and nervy. We waited a very long time for water and bread when we initially sat down and ordered. We ordered champagne that we had to ask for several times as none arrived and none of the staff seemed to know what was going on or explained what the hold up was to us. We were finally then told that there was only 1 glass available as the bar had ran out by which time we had finished our starters without a drink. Running out of Champagne at Christmas??? We had to re-order our whole drink order as our initial order that had been taken when we ordered food had disappeared. This meant interrupting eating our food as we had to refer again to the drinks menu (we ordered wine also). We then ordered Prosecco instead which again took an eternity to arrive. The food was okay. On receipt of the final bill we had been charged for the Champagne, that we had not received, and the Prosecco. The bill was rectified after being checked by us as the bill seemed very high. Definitely not value for money and will not be returning at the experience and bad service ruined our evening.

Sunday lunch is very good value; either 2 courses or 3, plus a glass of bubbly, a lovely way of spending a Sunday afternppn.

Booked for a meal with my husband for a Saturday night. Restaurant was a bit quiet to start with but soon started filling up. We both started with the Chef's Table which was a buffet of various meats, cheeses and salads. Very enjoyable starter. I then had the rigatoni with tiger prawns which was also delicious. My husband had a lamb dish of shepherds pie, a cutlet and lamb slices. He said it was very tasty. We had just enough room for dessert so I had the autumn berry sundae with a shot of sloe gin and my husband had the apple and plum crumble. Staff were attentive and we really enjoyed the evening.
