Great Sunday lunch. Large portions-Varied menu and excellent buffet starter if you wanted but other courses available. Glass of Prosecco on arrival including in the price. Will be back in the future

We really liked the relaxed atmosphere of the refurbished restaurant and the staff were lovely. We had the Mothers Day Sunday lunch - the starters (chefs table) was a great choice, the main course roast was very mediocre. We had to ask twice for the accompliments for our pork and the beef was very fatty. Soft roast potatoes, sugar snap peas and carrots made up the rest of the main, which we all felt was rather basic/boring - not worthy off the hotels quality. Good job the puddings were amazing!

Nice atmosphere ,relaxing and very good service .my husband loved his fish dish that was excellent .i had beef and that was fine I suspect a little rare for some people .the vegetables were ok except for the green beans they were hard and tasteless , maybe something like brocolli or cauliflower would be a better option and perhaps not such a large dish of roast potatoes .I would question whether it's a good idea to cook roast potatoes in duck fat , we have two vegetarians in our family and that would not be an option for them and if the other roast vegetables were cooked in duck fat we wouldn't be able to bring them at all ! .the chefs buffet was excellent ! We didn't get on to dessert because we were full !
I think your menu for Sunday needs to be reassesed because it's a little confusing , it states the price for two and three courses but when we received the bill it didn't reflect that we had ordered two , two course meals and by my reading it did include the fish .anyway the bill was redone so we were happy .

The service was excellent. The staff couldn't have been more helpful in anyway.

Buffet starter excellent. Main. Lamb totally ruined by awful sugary, jelly garnish purported to be mint jelly. Tried to scrape it off but still ruined meat and left us with a dreadfully dry mouth all day. Nice veg, but sugar snaps needed stringing. Not nice to remove string from ones mouth! Didn't bother with dessert and coffee

We have an event booked at the hotel next March. We decided to book in For Sunday lunch on route back home from Cornwall. First impressions were excellent. A friendly welcome ar reception and from the duty manager that took the time to show us the function rooms, spa and a standard bedroom.

On to lunch, we were seated in tha la carte restaurant and the attention to detail, service and food were excellent. We chose a set package of 2 courses and a glass of prosecco for £19.95.

In sun art, very good value for money, high quality and well worth a return visit.

    Highly Recommended
