This was a great place for an informal family meal. Mezes are always good as you can pick and choose a great variety and the kids can dip into foods and try them without it mattering too much. We tried the spicy feta dip (was really delicious), houmous, beetroot and lentil salad, Greek salad, flat breads, chicken souvlaki, octopus, saffron rice. I couldn’t fault the taste of the food. It was all amazing. We felt the wine was a bit pricey so opted for the much more appropriately priced beer (£4 for an Efes). There’s an outside area upstairs which looks like it would be a lovely place to sit in the summer. We went at about 5pm on a Bank Holiday Monday, it was pretty quiet. We look forward to definitely visiting again to try some of the other dishes. Also the desserts sound amazing, but we were too full. We also loved the fact that they put the calories of each dish on the menu. Also there is a car park very close by so it was easy to get to.

This is a busy restaurant that we have been to many times, so would recommend that you book to avoid disappointment. The quality of the food is always consistent, reasonably priced, with a good selection to chose from - and very little not to like. We always have the lamp cutlets on lentils and the chopped pork, and try something else on the menu. The staff are always friendly, and although we don’t visit that often, they are starting to remember us - for good reasons I hope!

Staff were great, especially as my husband has a tomato allergy - they’d already noted it from the booking. Gorgeous food - especially loved the Halloumi & Vegetable skewers. Will definitely be dining here again.

The venue features a raised position giving lovey views over the gardens. The staff were very friendly and helpful with allergy advice and the food was lovey. The service initially was excellent but as time went by staff seemed less interested/attentive despite it being relatively quiet. Overall I would happily recommend the food & venue and we’ll certainly return again.

There was a nice vibe about the place and the food was served in a very convenient way with the small tables!

To whom it may concern, I came to your restaurant The Real Greek, Bournemouth, last Sunday 21st May, booked under Hayley @7:30pm for dinner to celebrate my fiance's birthday.  It was a very special occasion and we'd been looking forward to it for months. Sadly, we had a very disappointing evening.  Firstly, we had to wait at least 20 minutes just to get table service to order a drink.   It was at least half an hour before we got our bottle of wine.  Part of our order was the lamb kofta which was as tough as a steak and a struggle to cut through, it tasted mushy and totally inedible.   We informed the staff who kindly offered to bring us another chicken skewer instead.  However, this then took a further 45 minutes before we were informed it will be with us shortly.  Sadly, by then we had lost our appetite and were frustrated with the whole thing. To add to this a fly was in my wine glass which only became evident after our wine was poured which meant that was a glass we were unable to drink. Considering the bad service, the waiting time to be served any drinks or food, the food being inedible and the fly in a wine glass...the meal was and while night was of huge disappointment.  Not only that, being the birthday celebration for my fiance, it was totally ruined. It was a great shame as we've been loyal and valuable customers of several branches of The Real Greek and were so excited when your branch opened in Bournemouth.  We have recommended it to many of our friends and family and it's very sad now we feel we would go back on our word and our experience has given us a completely new view on your restaurant and its doubtful we're would pay the money to return or recommend further to people we know. We wanted you to know of our experience in the hope you can rectify the issue, perhaps provide more staff, ensure table service is available for all customers when you're busy and live up to the standards customers expect. We look forward to hearing from you,
