What better way to enjoy a Sunday than in a cosy country pub with a great selection of British roasts starting from £6.95 – served all day and evening on Sundays using the freshest seasonal ingredients.
Housed within a beautiful Tudor building and retaining some of its original features, The Ramblers Rest is a gastro pub with an al fresco dining area, serving modern British food in a country-style setting. The lively bar area with its exposed brick walls, wooden beams & an open fireplace, offers a homey setting for guests to enjoy a drink.
With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Ramblers Rest menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest available ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.
The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The Ramblers Rest bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and eclectic sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.
The Ramblers Rest in Surrey is a 12-minute drive from Chipstead Railway Station.

Nice atmosphere, comfortable, rustic, cosy. Expensive so expected quality, but food was nothing special. Service was good/polite albeit waited quite a while for food but was Friday night and busy. Looking forward to cheese board but was not available on the night!?

Sadly not the best meal we have had here and mores the pity as it was a festive dinner to boot!! Having had a few meals out here I feel the food quality has gone down hill in recent months and the atmosphere and ambiance is no longer as nice

Awful experience , seated on a bench , very uncomfortable for all our backs , should have been warned as would not have gone as my husband has bad back! Food Luke warm , steak quite tough & sweet potato fries soggy! None of us enjoyed at all & definitely would not go again!

A bit of a wait for the meal but mostly very nice food. The crab linguine had a strangely smoky flavour that didn't work that well. The belly pork was delicious as was the duck salad.

Always good, brought visiting guests. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My pizza was slightly undercooked so the crust was all floppy but still pretty good.

An excellent all-round country pub with a great menu choice except the fact we went on a Monday and they had run out of 50% of dishes across the whole menu after a very busy weekend. Apparently Tuesday is delivery day. I will return to the pub and restaurant as it has great potential but I will not return on a Monday.
