Food was every bit as good as we have come to expect.
Service was good and our waitress was friendly.

Once a Tudor yeoman’s house, The Quills in Rochester is now a popular restaurant, serving crowd-pleasing British cuisine. Sit in the beamed dining room surrounded by antique oak doors that the owners rescued from Rochester Cathedral when it was refurbished.

Blending familiar ingredients with special touches, all brought together in a rustic style, The Quills menu includes the likes maple-glazed pork ribs or Mexican spicy bean and avocado for breakfast, or a burger topped with BBQ beef brisket and a side of truffled mac & cheese. Chocolate brownie layered with cherry pie filling is amongst the enticing desserts.

Brimming with history, find The Quills a 10-minute walk from Rochester Train Station.

Had a lovely Breakfast with my son. Unfortunately the ketchup exploded all over me. I didn't make a fuss, just cleaned myself up. Dress was a mess. The staff were very helpful and even reduced the bill to allow for dry cleaning cost of dress. I was very surprised but thankful.
Location is very good, clean, friendly and food very tasty.
    Also had 2-4-1 deal.

Food was very good - but service could have been better as we felt rushed to eat and get out when we explained we wanted to take a leisurely brunch and the place wasn’t near full; The waitress that took my order didn’t mention my breakfast it came with bread so when it arrived by a different waitress - I asked if could change the white bread to brown as I can’t have white bread and was met with a very rude attitude; and walked away in a bad mood; shame as the food when it came back was very nice, so I left tip for the chefs rather than serving staff; they need a bit of a lesson on manners. Not sure if would go back which is shame!

Quills is a favourite venue for our networking group. The service is always prompt and extremely friendly. Their menu is varied and with some very interesting and tasty options. Highly recommended.

Great breakfast menu, nice coffee. We met up with a group of girlfriends with differing dietary requirements, lots of options offered on their menus gluten free /vegetarian ect.

We have been a couple of time this year and only criticism is it’s been rather cold in there and we had to put our coats on after a while, the loos are freezing. They do have heaters but as it a old building they are very inefficient.

However just wrap up and enjoy the food like we all did. ??
