We have been previously and love the general feel and decor. We were a party of 8 celebrating my mothers 70 birthday - only downside we were seated at a high table with tall bench seats that my older parents found difficult to sit at. Generally we were happy with the food starters were all very much enjoyed, but my brothers order was wrong from the beginning - he ordered the Ribeye steak and asked if the salad could be swapped for beans and asked for a side of garlic bread with cheese, on arrival there was a plate full of salad no beans, we asked for the beans and when they arrived they were cold and appeared to be majority sauce in a tiny bowl a kids portion perhaps? she took them away and reheated them and told him his side of garlic bread was on its way, it never came. On the whole we enjoyed them meal but my brothers experience had been disappointing and given that he had ordered the most expensive meal on the menu we expected better.

Birthday celebration party of 10 and 5 on my recommendation ordered the sausage dish and only 3 were able to have these as they had run out of sausages at 7.30 in the evening. Not impressed by this service.

The restaurant was lovely. The decor is homely, clean and very inviting. The staff were attentive quite friendly. There were 9 of us for breakfast and it tasted great and was presented beautifully. I would go back again and recommend it to others.

Very clean, very open eating experience. The Grill Chicken is wonderful and the sweet potato fries are worth a visit alone. Good service.

The food was average. Roasts were dry and the yorkshires overcooked. The lemon tart tasted a bit synthetic and covered in poppy seeds (not a good idea with all the food allergies and no mention on the menu). Service was very good.

We ate three courses here at Sunday lunchtime. The starters arrived cold, we sent them back to be warmed up and they arrived back barely lukewarm. Main courses were very good and the correct temperature. Dessert (apple and raspberry crumble) also arrived cold which we again had to be asked to be rectified. Staff were courteous and its a lovely environment. Just a shame the basics from the kitchen were lacking.

Absolute terrible service but great food. Staff rude, obnoxious and ignorant. Extensive wait, though restaurant not busy. Shame as service so poor, as aesthetically, the interior is beautiful and the food is good.
