Excellent food. The salads are particularly good and popular with my friends. One downside is the seating. The chairs are uncomfortable and very difficult to manoeuvre so getting in and out is not pleasant.

A stylish and comfortable modern ambience with delightful country-style décor touches makes The Prince of Wales - Sheffield the perfect place for unwinding with family and friends. Log fires inside and a garden patio for outdoor dining in fine weather adds to its allure.

A carefully crafted seasonal modern British menu with a Mediterranean touch offers guests such dishes as lobster and king prawn pot, spit-roasted chicken with lemon and garlic confit and chargrilled lamb and balsamic koftas with lavash bread. A Mediterranean mezze platter, steaks and pizzas offer more options. The Prince of Wales - Sheffield Sunday menu serves a variety of roasts served with smoked beef-dripping roasted potatoes, seasonal greens, Yorkshire pudding and bottomless gravy.

For dessert at The Prince of Wales - Sheffield choose from the decadent house special of melting golden chocolate orange bomb or other scrumptious options of baked Sicilian lemon cheesecake and vanilla crème brûlée. At the spacious bar enjoy signature cocktails and gin and tonics. Carefully selected wines and handpicked craft beers complement the food.

We love the Sunday roast here. It is always good value for money with good quality produce well cooked.

    Food expensive and cold
Service - we waited 2 hours for our starter
Poor waiter over worked , which meant food delayed , food cold and even the coffee was cold and in half measured cups !

Great service with very friendly and professional staff. Unfortunately my risotto was seriously undercooked in places and this was a shame as I didn't enjoy it. My friends food was good however.

Food v good and service v pleasant, though we had quite a wait for table and some delay between courses. Music too loud.

Poor experience. Extremely slow service. Waited ages for our food (nearly an hour from the time we sat down) and then part of my main course was missing. To be fair it was rectified. Staff weren't particularly apologetic- kept saying how busy they were and that there were two chefs off sick but it was as though they were saying how bad it was for them and that we'd have to put up with it. My food wasn't great- an odd salad with big lumps of chewy kale, sloppy cheese and ice-cold rice. My mini chocolate brownie was hard and covered in cheap-tasting chocolate sauce.

We had booked a table for 3 but when we arrived the table was in a draught from patio doors and the Manager kindly found us an alternative next to the window onto Ecclesall road, a good beginning. The service was excellent and the starters and main course were all exceptional, all three of us thoroughly enjoyed our food.

Good atmosphere but lack of attention to detail in the service. Requested horseradish when asked if we wanted any sauces- it didn't arrive. My meal was cold, my partners wasn't- my meal was replaced (with fuss) but meant we didn't eat together. Deserrt came without the featured 'biscuit' rectified when pointed out. Charged £3 for extra gravy. Removed from bill when queried. The waitress was efficient but lacked warmth & a smile.
