A refurbished gastro pub in the historical village of Eynsford, The Plough Inn serves a selection of modern British dishes. With sheepskin-covered chairs, exposed stone walls & leather armchairs, the bar & restaurant provide plenty of cosy corners to enjoy a drink or a hearty meal.
With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Plough Inn menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.
The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The Plough Inn bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.
The Plough Inn in Kent is a 3-minute drive from Lullingstone Castle & World Garden, a 9-minute walk from Eynsford Castle, and a 10-minute walk from Eynsford Rail Station.

Good variety of food and drinks. Friendly service. Reasonable prices. Great for family dining, going out with friends or a date. The only criticism was that the flooring in the downstairs retaurant was very worn and looked untidy.

As per usual the restaurant was alive and buzzing. Not to noisy with ramblers families and regular locals (wish I lived in walking distance ).
The food was absolutely wonderful and high quality. For Mother's day the set menu had a great variety to please all. The dessert I had was terrific apple and blackcurrant shortbread with real custard. I had the roast all three meats which was satisfying and plenty. My wife had the salmon which if there had been a pattern on the plate it would have disappeared she loved it. My sons were the same and they are fussy but couldn't stop praising the cuisine. The service was spot on and we didn't have any delays . So mothers day was a success.

Lovely atmosphere and good food, ofset however by appauling lack of service - was seated at the table for 30 minutes without served, had to get up and get our own menus, then again had to get up and find someone to take our order, this was the same throughout the meal, and staff really didn’t seem to care. Complained and received a discount off the meal and free round of drinks.

A 1 hour delay for our table, no compensation given! Very disappointed.

We were a group of 6 going for a birthday dinner. Have been many times to The Plough but would not go again. Service was poor - nibbles of olives and bread arrived at same time as starter. Was informed nibbles are starters! Never heard that before ! Starters were then taken back and kept warm - including the salads! Main meals arrived - some food was cold. New food was 'warm'. Table not cleared of wine glasses or plates so no room for main when it arrived - so it had to be returned to kitchen. That's probably why food was cold! Normally this place is packed on a Saturday night - it was virtually empty - word has obviously got around about the poor standards now. Will def not be going back.

Lovely, beautifully decorated restaurant - a little cramped - would benefit from less tables as not very private!

Waitress was excellent but felt sorry for her when she had to tell us half the menu was not available.
Surely a decent manager would obtain supplies elsewhere if they did not turn up. Maybe being out of 1 or 2 things but not that many.
Chicken was great either and no offer. Of reduction in bill when desert was 7.95 and no popping candy.
Overall experience not good but waitress was excellent
