Very nice surroundings and excellent staff. The food was beautifully presented however the volume of vegetables was disappointing.

A restored country-style pub in the peaceful town of Aldridge, The Plough & Harrow serves a menu of Mediterranean-influenced dishes. As well as a sizeable patio for al fresco dining, this gastro pub comprises a bar & restaurant decked out with wooden floors, log fires & deep leather armchairs, giving it a cosy, rustic atmosphere.
With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Plough & Harrow menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.
The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The Plough & Harrow bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.
The Plough & Harrow in Walsall is a 7-minute drive from Blake Street Rail Station.

Had a very enjoyable meal. Given a table next to the ladies cloakroom so not ideal but did not stop us enjoying our meal. Would ask for a different table next time.We both had the sea bass and it was delicious. We asked for baby potatoes instead of the mash which was on the menu and it was no problem. Staff were very friendly. Lovely atmosphere. Overall, had an enjoyable evening.

Excellent evening out !, it had been an extremely long time since I had been to The Plough & Harrow and I can't recall it being that memorable...this time however it was totally different, I was extremely pleased with our dining experience. The meal was excellent !, the menu was certainly a step up from your normal pub meals. The food was excellent, both in its taste and presentation, the wine was also served at the right temperature, the waiting staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and the overall ambience perfect.!.... I won't be leaving it too long before I return. Well done !!

The Staff are great, the premises perfect and the menu offered is good for all occasions but........ As a fairly regular visitor over the past four years it has now become an expensive experience compared to the competition of similar surroundings and menu options/quality of food. Also on our lastest visit the complementary snacks/breads etc are no longer offered? The biscuit served with hot drinks was one buscuit broken in half and shared between two, (I hasten to add that this was fixed immediately with no fuss what so ever). These matters are on face value very small however, it's the little things that make the biggest difference. Finally my choice of swordfish was on the menu but not available which, when there are only two fish options on the menu, is poor given the cost to dine which should command a full menu availability. As a result we have decided to and find an alternative location.

Good menu, excellent service. Meals are a little bit more expensive than the usual pub prices but if it's a special occasion then it's well worth a visit.

I love the warm and cosy atmosphere you always get here and staff are so lovely. I've dined here a few times now and tried varied dishes. They never cease to amaze me on the wonderful flavours and presentation, it's all just perfect. Because of this it does get busy but the staff and service never falters. I'll be certainly coming back many many more times in the future.
