What better way to enjoy a Sunday than in a cosy country pub with a great selection of British roasts starting from £12.50 – served all day and evening on Sundays using the freshest seasonal ingredients.
A restored country-style pub in the peaceful town of Aldridge, The Plough & Harrow serves a menu of Mediterranean-influenced dishes. As well as a sizeable patio for al fresco dining, this gastro pub comprises a bar & restaurant decked out with wooden floors, log fires & deep leather armchairs, giving it a cosy, rustic atmosphere.
With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Plough & Harrow menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.
The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The Plough & Harrow bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.
The Plough & Harrow in Walsall is a 7-minute drive from Blake Street Rail Station.

Good food at a reasonable price. Great menu with a good choice (and I'm a veggie). Friendly unobtrusive service. I'll go back

Was lovely, excellent food friendly staff

Food was good and they were very accommodating to my requests for changing options to suit my dietary requirements. Unfortunately the choice of beers and wines were limited with several of our choices not being available. Waitress was polite and she was very apologetic when informing us that each of our choices was unavailable.

I ate a delicious mealhere twice in November 2010 which was amazing. Sadly this meal was not as nice both in taste and in presentation. I hope this was due to the xmas rush not a sign of standards slipping.
