What better way to enjoy a Sunday than in a cosy country pub with a great selection of British roasts starting from £12.50 – served all day and evening on Sundays using the freshest seasonal ingredients.
A restored country-style pub in the peaceful town of Aldridge, The Plough & Harrow serves a menu of Mediterranean-influenced dishes. As well as a sizeable patio for al fresco dining, this gastro pub comprises a bar & restaurant decked out with wooden floors, log fires & deep leather armchairs, giving it a cosy, rustic atmosphere.
With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Plough & Harrow menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.
The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The Plough & Harrow bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.
The Plough & Harrow in Walsall is a 7-minute drive from Blake Street Rail Station.

Not a good experience at all I'm afraid. The food was not to the standard we expected, having been to other restaurants in the same group. The waiter service was awful. There were screaming kids running around. The floor was covered in food. And the toilets were disgusting!

This was our second visit to this restaurant. Starter was good. We shared the camembert. Main courses - mine was good, I had fish with mash, instead of chips, very tasty. My wife had the pie with ham hock topping. It was completely overcooked and I'm surprised chef would even send it out. We sent it back and, because it would take another 20 minutes (we were told) to cook another, she had fish and chips. Very good, but spoilt by a dried-up piece of lemon that must have been knocking around for days. There was absolutely no juice in it. So, overall, good and disappointing. We will visit again and see how it fares next time. We were thinking of Xmas day but not so sure now. Waitress and service were excellent.

Eat here fairly frequently and sometimes varies in consistency, but last night found food to be excellent. I had the chicken with garlic which was delicious and rest of party were also pleased with their choices. Restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and service was very good.
