A charming neighbourhood pub, The Plough offers the warmth and comfort of one in leafy Dulwich. Relax with family and friends in a comfortable setting with exposed red brick walls and wood panelling. A spacious beer garden is perfect for lazy Sunday afternoons or al fresco dining in fine weather.
Pub classics on The Plough menu include ale battered cod with triple cooked chips and Cherry Orchard farm sausages with spring onion mash and red wine jus. For something innovative try chargrilled halloumi on carrot and courgette ribbons or vegan lasagne with butternut squash and peppers. A Continental board comes with Camembert baked in sourdough, cured Calabrian meats and smoked duck breast for sharing.
Round off with tempting desserts of salted honey tart with caramel sauce or warm chocolate brownie with hazelnut ice cream at The Plough. A variety of wines and beers complement the food perfectly.

It was a very quiet Sunday evening when we went there for a meal. They had no roasts left but the meat eaters had a burger and chicken pie both said their meals were good. For vegetarians who don't like butternut squash there was nothing ad both vegetarian meals contained it. Luckily not stricked vegetarians so had fish and chips. There came with mushy peas but you honestly got just a teaspoon full of them. They are not expensive so why?The staff were friendly enough and it had been busy earlier in the day but if you are open for food on a Sunday evening it should be a reasonable choice.

I was very dissapointed, when i booked the table i was told the roast dinner would be £10. I paid £16.50 for a roast chicken dinner and a small coke, if id known i would pay that price i would have gone elsewhere thats like the price for 2 people, and wasnt impressed with the food

Booked for a group of 10 - two more added at last minute. No problem. Service excellent and swift. Food very good but rather too much on plates. Yorkshire puddings not quite like mum makes, ,

The pub was very nice, great decoration and looked very homely. The initial service was great, quick to order, however the food came out separately which caused problems as the last meal to come out was a good 20 mins after the first. The steak (last meal to come out) was ordered medium but came out well done, obviously due to the time taken to get the last dish out everybody else had finished so wasn't in a position to get it redone. It's a shame as the place is very nice, just need timing to be improved.
