Filled with chic Art Deco style and featuring regular live jazz performances, The Plaza Café is an elegant spot to indulge in traditional British recipes and afternoon teas, either before or after a show at the attached cinema and theatre.

The Plaza Café menu serves all sorts of time-honoured British recipes all through the day. For those looking for a quick snack, enjoy treats like toasted teacakes and buttered crumpets, or sit down for a ploughman's lunch, Cheshire rarebit, or selection of generously filled sandwiches.

Afternoon tea at The Plaza Café in Stockport is a time-honoured tradition. A huge selection of loose leaf are served, ranging from classic Earl Grey through to oolong and Moroccan mint, along with a selection of sandwiches, warm scones with jam and clotted cream, and other sweet additions like handmade cakes. There are also special options for kids, while adults can add glasses of champagne for an added treat.

Lovingly preserving the style and service of a bygone era, The Plaza Café is moments from Merseyway Shopping Centre, and an 8-minute walk from Stockport Rail Station.

The usual friendly welcome in a great ambience which takes you back In time. My prawn sandwich was delicious with a good amount of prawns and nice fresh bread which could have been a cut a little thinner for eas of eating. Delicious soup.
