A bit disappointing for us as we had been told this restaurant was amazing. It was okay but not amazing. Menu looked interesting-good choices to suit everyone. Service wasn't bad but just very slow and inattentive. No one asked if we were happy or needed anything else. We were pretty much left alone.
Also, a bit of a moan about the bread delivered- if there are 2 at the table, should they not give 2 of each kind of breads? We were cutting up very small pieces of breads so we could have a bit each.
Wine list had been colour coded to let folks know the wines that weren't available!
Food was good when it arrived but we had ages in between arrival of courses, so much so that we had no time for a sweet and they looked delish!
Just a little thing, but when a table of 6 left, a young lad came to clean the table. He cleared off everything ,wiped it down then left it empty. For ages! So it felt a bit like a canteen. At catering college you are trained to ensure that cleaned tables are set up again immediately, so the atmosphere of a busy restaurant is maintained.
We were happy with the food but the whole experience was just a bit lacklustre. Shame really!

Delighted that it's open on a Monday when so very many good restaurants are closed! We still want to be able to meet friends for quality food on Mondays!

Service was excellent, if anything a bit too rushed. Would have preferred more time between courses. The barmans cocktails were superb and he was very welcoming as well. The atmosphere was a bit quiet as restaurant wasn't busy, some light music maybe. Overall we loved it and would definately go back.

All I can say is this restaurant is faultless! From the lovely welcome and attentiveness by the staff, ambient temperature, cool decor, amazing food and delicious wine. And nice to see my favourite coffee, Kimbo. Great touch having the piece of chocolate with the coffee. Next time am coming down to have some cocktails as well, which are fantastic. I could go on.......!!!

Staff were attentive, continually filling my water glass, much appreciated. Pigeon was a bit tough, strange combination with bolognase but tasty. Steak absolute perfection. My husband enjoyed his chicken & leek starter, and his cod. Unusually for us we had desert, Caramel Apple cheesecake was tasty, and also the orange rice pudding. Lovely breads to start, would have preferred them to be warm. This was the pre theatre menu and it is certainly value for money. Very nice Saviongn Blanc as well.
