Described as 'London's Best Secret Bar' by Harpers Bazaar, and winner of 'Best Bar & Pub' at Time Out's Love London Awards 2 years running, The Phoenix Artist Club is tucked away down the same side street used in the opening sequence of Harry Potter. The lively bar and restaurant is found in the original dressing and rehearsal rooms of The Phoenix theatre, and serves up seasonal European dishes, and some British favourites.

Head chef Robert Kusy makes his West End debut following appearances on numerous cooking shows (including alongside MasterChef UK Judge John Torode) and collaborations with celebrity chefs Silvena Rowe and Jean-Christophe Novelli. Robert Kusy's leading role promises to bring an exciting and delicious new approach to the club that won 'Restaurant of the Year' at the Federation of Small Businesses awards, as well as the Time Out London Love London Award for 'Best Club & Bar in Covent Garden & The Strand' 2 years running.

Reflecting its theatrical environment, the walls of The Phoenix Artist Club are lined with signed posters, and pictures from decades of productions. With a restored Art Deco interior, hidden treasures lie in every corner.

The Phoenix Artist Club in London is a short walk from both Tottenham Court Road and Covent Garden Tube stations.

Eclectic place, nice relaxed atmosphere with good food. There was a real buzz about the place when we left for the theatre, would have loved to stay!

Had a lovely meal, the set menu was very good value. The staff were friendly as well. It was a great place for a catch up with friends, not too noisy in the restaurant.

We had a lovely night at the Phoenix artist club. We both had the goats cheese starter which was very tasty. For main I had the duck, which I found was over cooked and it felt like it had been batch cooked and left for a while before being served and my friend had the salmon... huge quantity of salmon but same ‘batch cooked’ taste. The atmosphere was really nice and the place is defiantly unique. Would defiantly return but more for drinks and nibbles due to the unique atmosphere.

Very good. A change to the usual dining setting with close seating and a vibrant atmosphere, surrounded by Wet End theatre posters and memorabilia. Staff were very friendly and the food was tasty, I can especially recommend the crème brûlée with vodka infused cherries for desert.

This was the second time in a month that I've dined here, this time I took my daughter. Again the service was superb and friendly. The food delicious and generous portions!

We had a lovely evening at the Phoenix Artiste Club, had the two courses for £17.00 and a glass of Prosecco, good choice on the set menu, we had the soup and goats cheese all extremely tasty, good portion sizes, we then had the chicken Kiev, and the fish and chips, and paid a supplement for Venison, again all delicious well cooked and well presented. We all particularly liked the Portuguese house white wine which was very good value. All succumbed to deserts which again were all yummy. The service was outstanding, really friendly, enjoyed our conversation on various West end shows. The choices of Gins were also very good and were able to sample one or two. Would highly recommend!
