The Orangery at Blenheim Palace is a brasserie-style restaurant in an historic location. Enjoy flavoursome lunches and quintessential afternoon teas, amidst elegant décor and stunning views across the grounds.
At lunch, The Orangery menu offers a range of rich British and European dishes. Start with the likes of a beautiful smoked Bibury Farm trout terrine, potted “Old Spot” ham hock and pork, Blenheim ploughman’s pickle and onion bread or a great soup of the day. Hearty mains include Cutlet of Alden’s lamb, glazed lamb breast or butter-oached organic salmon. Then indulge in a delicious dessert such as warm rice pudding, served with Blenheim-grown rhubarb or a beautiful chocolate pave.
Afternoon tea at The Orangery in Oxfordshire is an elegant affair befitting of its location. Savour traditional sandwiches, handmade cakes and a wide range of loose leaf teas, with a choice of champagnes on hand for extra indulgence.
Exuding timeless sophistication, The Orangery restaurant at Blenheim Palace sits just outside of Woodstock, a 9-minute drive from Hanborough Rail Station.

Blenheim Palace is a fantastic place to visit. We visited the Orangery for afternoon: Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff; fantastic views; good selection of teas (10); replenishment of sandwiches; beautiful setting; Take away option of unfinished cakes. Cons: Cups were slightly dirty (but changed immediately); sandwiches are tiny (literally one bite will consume one); Cost - advertised at £19.95, but you then have to pay £14.90 per person just to enter the grounds. So really the afternoon tea is £34.85. This is too much for the quality you get, especially when compared to other afternoon teas. I would have said £19.95 (total) would have reflected the experience.

Booked afternoon tea for a pre-birthday 'treat'. Disappointed at lack of 'specialness' - no crisp white tablecloth, had to ask for more sandwiches and had to ask for more tea - neither were offered - staff were 'there' but not 'aware' - shame - cannot recommend to our friends, unlike the lovely hotel we are staying in (for the second time in five months). Sorry, but you have asked for feedback. ,
