Savoury items were excellent. Sandwiches were OK. Scones were overcooked.Would have preferred more savoury items. Too heavy on sweet cakes. some of which were not of a good enough standard for the price. Champagne advertised as 3 glass was actually 1 glass and 2 half glasses. Not good! .But good quality and enjoyable

The Orangery could have been a little warmer, the food was very good and served by a friendly young waiter who made us feel very much at home. I couldn't afford to eat and drink there regularly, but for a special occasion it's great

Very good. We had the standard tea. All very nice and no strawberries as asked for on booking. Staff friendly and helpful. Had lovely table by the windows overlooking the garden.

very meagre portions. Was offered no potatoes or vegetable with the sea bass yet on the next table people were served side dishes of veg and bread with the meal. we asked for some bread which was provided but i felt it was begrudgingly.
we were disappointed as we had been looking forward to the meal but ended up having to but additional food fro the kiosks as we were still hungry!

I had explained upon booking the restaurant that our visit was to celebrate my husband's 60th Birthday. We were greeted and seated in the opulent surroundings of the Orangery and then a glass of champagne was delivered to our table of three, with the compliments of the venue and our suited waiter offered my husband birthday greetings. We all had different starters and agreed we would recommend all of them very highly. The Smoked seafood platter with horseradish potato salad, was absolutely divine. My husband had the Warm venison & black pudding scotch egg, celeriac remoulade which he thoroughly enjoyed and our vegetarian daughter had the Golden beetroot salad, goats’ cheese, pomegranate vinaigrette, micro watercress which she loved. The portions were all of a good size and left us salivating in anticipation of our main course. We were not disappointed. The Slow braised Cotswold beef in Blenheim ale, seasonal parsnip mash & winter greens was delicious and the vegetarian option of Pumpkin & chestnut tortellini was exceptional. Our desert choices of Black Forest roulade, brandy soaked cherries, Blenheim honey ice cream - Christmas pudding, mulled kumquats, cranberry ice cream & brandy sauce and the Nutmeg brulée with shortbread fingers was again a treat to our taste buds. The waiter was attentive but not intrusive and my husbands desert had "Happy Birthday" piped in chocolate around his plate. The attention to detail made a very memorable celebration.

Lovely setting and great food. Great combination and we will return.
On line booking somehow got mixed up as 3 people for lunch was changed to advise restaurant that there would be 2 people for afternoon tea. Apparently not an uncommon glitch and quickly resolved without any problems.
