Featured in Charles Dickens' celebrated novel Oliver Twist, The One Tun is an historic London pub with a rich history of more than 170 years. As well as a fine selection of beers and spirits, the pub is given a contemporary twist by its exotic Thai menu, filled with aromatic delicacies.
The One Tun menu offers diners a great selection of flavoursome Thai recipes, rich in colour and spice. There are sharing platters of steamed dumplings, and favourites like chicken satay, duck and vegetable rolls, and chilli salt squid. As well as Thai green curry, other delicately spiced dishes include Penang curried beef with sweet potato and roti flatbread. Exciting fusions of pub classics with Thai recipes can be seen in the duo of 'Asian style' beef burgers, and there are noodle recipes ranging from pad Thai to ramen.
Ales, lagers, ciders and stouts are served at The One Tun in Farringdon, but there are also inventive cocktails that blend fine gin with watermelon liqueur, as well as vodka creations with ginger, chilli and coriander. Diners can also choose from a concise wine list that includes bottles from the Old and New Worlds.
Offering an exciting and contemporary blend of British pub tradition with exciting Thai spice, The One Tun in London is only a 5-minute walk from Farringdon Tube Station.
