My Wife thought it smelled slightly damp upon our arrival. Food was good. So good service from a particular member of staff and some average from the rest. Liked the wine list.

Warm welcome on a cold, rainy winters day. Service was friendly and considerate. Food was enjoyable and ended with four empty plates. Enough said.

We loved the place. Amazing range of unusual, well made cocktails, food was delicious and far superior to usual gastro pub food, staff were attentive and friendly and the entire decor well extremely well thought out, down to the toilets. Clear, stylish and reasonably priced. Perhaps most surprising was that it wasnt overly busy. Seems it's not in all the tourist guide books yet

Excellent menu with food beautifully prepared. Especially liked the smoked salmon starter. The restaurant is light and airy, not at all "old pub" as I had imagined. The service was prompt and accurate.

We had an excellent lunch in a very attractive dining room. My husband and I both chose the set three-course lunch at £25. Our goat’s cheese, beetroot and walnut starters were light and healthy, followed by mains of hake, perfectly cooked in a delicious sauce. The only criticism is that the fish portions were very small. Our desserts were outstanding - my husband’s chocolate delice with pistachio mousse and pickled blackberries was pronounced amazing, as was my Granny Smith apple dessert - all beautifully presented
