A trusty gastro pub in the heart of the Surrey countryside, The Old House Inn serves seasonal British dishes. This charming, country farmhouse-style setting is filled with cosy nooks and crannies, while the beer garden is a lush suntrap during warmer weather. The Old House Inn is part of The Good Pub Guide's Pub Group of the Year 2016.

Blending nostalgic pub recipes and inventive dishes with a fine dining twist, The Old House Inn menu showcases seasonal produce sourced from local producers. As well as delicious grill cuts, enjoy chargrilled chicken with grilled halloumi, chilli, chorizo & Israeli tomato couscous, or lamb rump with pesto gnocchi, bean medley & mint jus. An ‘Eager Beaver’ kids menu is served for younger diners and a market menu is served for lunch Monday to Friday.

At the oak bar lined with countless cask ale pumps, guests can also choose from the healthy mix of easy-drinking and vintage wine bins. For a taste of indulgence at The Old House in Surrey, sample rum & raisin bread pudding, or dark chocolate fondant with blood orange sorbet.

With offerings spanning from laidback lunches with a cask ale to a 3-course gastronomic feast, The Old House pub in Crawley offers classic pub hospitality. Central Crawley is a 10-minute drive away.

All dishes good, cooked on the premises so be careful - when busy certain dishes may run out. Good wine list but also 'guest' beers available. Large garden for outside dining in the summer

The food was great but, although the staff were friendly and helpful when we saw them, the service was very slow due to there being a big party there at the same time. There should have been more staff working. Our lunch took three hours and had we not been with business guests from Taiwan, we would have left. At one point, we had to go and find staff to see if we were going to be offered desserts. We arrived at 12.30 and left at 3.35.
To be fair, service has been good on all my previous visits.

Excellent food., I was a bit cold. I would have liked to be seated before I had to choose my wine, as I didn't know what was available

Lovely old place with crooked roof, low ceilings, and loads of nooks and crannies and interesting little rooms. Good food, and manageable portion sizes (though I expected them to be larger given the prices). Staff were helpful and really friendly - would absolutely recommend to anyone in the area
