Built in the 17th-century, The Old Farmhouse near Darlington is a traditional country pub, serving well-loved British food in a beautiful setting. Close to a number of tranquil waterways, the pub has eye-catching, ivy-enclosed walls, which can be enjoyed along with the food from the beer garden. Interiorly, rustic features characterise The Old Farmhouse, with luxurious sofas, a warm log-fire and dark oaken beams.
Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Old Farmhouse menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Old Farmhouse ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.
The Old Farmhouse is just 6 minutes’ drive to Darlington.

I returned to the location after a bad experience. I am glad to say my new experience was much better. The food choice is small but the food is delicious. Pricing is reasonable and getting 20 per cent off final bill when book table online is a real plus.

It was really nice.

enjoyed the mail, a little pot of gravy would of made all the difference.

Excellent good quality food and service as usual. The table was right next to the radiator which made it a little uncomfortable. Only real let down was the price of the drinks £4.10 for a 125ml glass of white wine, If they charged less for the drinks more people would go as it's dead during the week!

Food was amazing, the restaurant is well designed and had good wheelchair access, but a little on the dark side.

Lovely venue, great surroundings, staff very friendly.
Slow to offer more drinks and waited for over an hour for food which was just too long. What a shame.
