Making the most of seasonal ingredients, menus showcase a mix of classic British dishes, sharing platters and lighter meals. Favourites include the 21-day dry-aged steak, beer-battered fish and chips, and superfood salad. A popular Sunday roast with all the trimmings is also a popular choice.

From the bar, sample a range of wines, beers and spirits, as well as classic cocktails, prosecco and champagne.

Restaurant very clean, great decor and lovely atmosphere. The staff were efficient, polite and very friendly. However I was disappointed with some aspects of our meal, starter arancini was delicious. Main course Parsnips and Asparagus were under done and I dId not really like the Duck I had, it was chewy also the red sauce under veg was delicious but there was not enough of this. I was not unhappy enough to make a fuss so when asked I said all was ok. Chocolate fondant pudding was yummy but didn't need the ginger and lime.

I didn't actually eat here in the end, the menu was quite limited and fairly expensive, and so we decided to go elsewhere. Looked like a lovely location though and the staff were very friendly and attentive.

Overall experience was excellent. Food was lovely, the restaurant itself is very quaint, clean and a very comfortable environment. Server was very welcoming and helpful. Thanks for a lovely evening and great food.

Lovely surroundings but extremely expensive for what you get. Had to send back meal due to it being chewy and very hard to cut

The restaurant was lovely with a good atmosphere. Service was very good. The menu I felt didn’t have much choice but what we had was nice. Prices were a bit on the high side but overall our experience was a pleasant one

I was really disappointed with the service at the Old Boathouse. We were the only table in the entire restaurant yet it still took 30 minutes to get our ordered drinks and the staff had to be reminded that we were waiting for them. The children’s menu was very poor and limited choice and no dessert menu for children available. My children had to share an adult main meal because there was nothing they would eat on their own main meal menu, only roast dinners available. The food itself was nice but myself and my father had a pie which just came with a pot of peas there were no potatoes or other veg so there was a huge space on the plate and we ended up ordering extra fries. Beautiful restaurant, beautiful location but the menu and service need to improve.

Excellent restaurant atmosphere, great service and good value. The children were catered for with right-sized portions which were all eaten...… Good long opening hours means the restaurant is busy but not oppressively full. Thank you De Vere for a great Sunday lunch.

Restaurant was cold, service wasn’t great! Meal was very oily (we all had a roast dinner) the pot with the roast veggies in was soo hot it burnt myself! The table next to us - refuses to pay full price for their meal - I could easily understand why
