Staff were friendly. Two sets of customers who came in after us had their drinks orders taken before us. Not as good as have experienced before.

Service under Covid conditions was superb - really quick and attentive. The menu is a bit limited, but the food that came out was well cooked and very tasty - good value. However, although there is a wide and varied drinks menu, £2.90 for a tonic mixer is extortionate!

The service was fairly good but the menu choice too limited. The sample menu had a far better choice. Although the table was cleaned, the side panels just below the top of the table (but attached) need to be cleaned because it was dirty with food which I cleaned. The wine glass cost was extremely expensive. Our table wasn't great, just at the entrance.

Waitress efficient but not very friendly. She didn’t come back to ask us how our meal was so I had to wait for her to collect our dishes To tell her my potatoes were not cooked. She didn’t apologise only stated she would inform the chef. The rest of the meal was pleasant but I think the customer service was lacking. This is our third visit to the restaurant and I must say this time wasn’t as special as previous. There was no offer to reduce the price of my meal or offer a coffee etc to make up for it

Staff were lovely and friendly and felt very COVID safe, however, we felt the Sunday lunch was definitely under par with very small portions i.e. two carrots one floret of broccoli and potatoes were either frozen or all been precooked and not reheated properly because they were cool inside nor tasted fresh. Due to limited staff because of the Covid, we did ask for some gravy and had to wait a long while and had nearly eaten our dinner. By the time it arrived - and because of the poor standard decided against a pudding and we left the restaurant hungry - so sad to say unfortunately we would not come to the Boathouse again.

I came with my husband and two small children. The children’s menu is also an activity sheet but we were only given one, we had to ask for a second as the children were upset. The service was extremely slow, and it wasn’t overly busy at the time we dined. The children’s menu is ok but there needs to be more thought - they are children. Glass coffee glasses for a pudding given to a 3-year old is obviously not practical! The food was nice, portions were reasonable.

The grilled Frankfurter was no more than a 50p hotdog out of a tin and boiled and put into a small finger roll. The cost £13.
