Disappointingly not as good a previous. Expensive and the menu was limited.

A delightful couple of hours spent in this lovely pub celebrating a family birthday. The food looked good and it tasted even better - 4 very empty plates! The staff were attentive but not intrusive. All this in a such a beautiful location. Would highly recommend to any one looking to fill their bellies in the New Forest. We will definitely return for second helpings.

Choices seem to be much diminished and the quality of the food has gone down. What has happened to the chips - they seem to be made of mashed potato? Scampi quite mushy. The rest of our party enjoyed their pies.
Waitresses were on the ball and pleasant. We like the pub for winter dining and a lit fire but is a bit dark inside in the lighter months.

Excellent. We booked a table for two just hours previously and were welcomed by the friendly staff. Beautiful little place in a beautiful spot. The food was fantastic and very generous portions. Very enjoyable experience and we will do it again.

Very disappointing meal- the potatoes were undercooked and the roast lamb was very fatty. My daughter who has food intolerance was provided with very little help from the waitress. She chose haddock which was very ordinary so our whole experience was not very good compared to previous visits. As it was my wifes birthday we ordered 2 glasses of prosecco which we had to return as they were flat and obviously from an old bottle

It was all very good. Service was excellent, could not fault it. Food was also delicious. Goats cheese croquettes were fantastic as was the light and fluffy bread and butter pudding. Fairly expensive for "pub dining" but as everything was so good, we were happy to pay - and leave a tip.

Very cute pub. I booked it off recommendations on trip advisor and it didn't let us down. Staff were very friendly and the food was great. Would definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

Excellent food and service in a very traditional and cosy environment.

Really easy to book a table on line, especially as the Oak Inn shuts during the day for a short while. Service was excellent - as was the food - delicious. Would definitely recommend and will be going again - just as a top tip make sure you book as the seating inside is minimal. They do have a large outside seating area, but bit chilly at the moment, but am sure it's superb in the summer.
