The Oak Bar and Terrace menu is cooked on an incredible Josper oven - it is truly special. Their drinks list features a range of local beers and ciders as well as National brands. They also have over twenty two Norfolk gins and an exclusive Norfolk wine list.

The venue is perfect for a lot of outdoor fun ... in a safe way, of course.

It was lovely to be back at the oak bar and to see all the familiar faces. We didn’t mind using the app and got used to it very quickly. We had a meal but unfortunately because we were sitting outside the food got cold quite quickly. We were offered to sit in the marquee but the tables were too low to eat at. We look forward to coming back when we can maybe eat in doors.

Meals took a long time to get to us. I told them one of my party was a child but no child menu was available. He had to have popcorn chicken which was to hard to cut

Had an excellent afternoon tea here. Could not fault the quality, variety and quantity of what we were given. The ambience was nice and the table well presented. All the staff were very helpful, All in all, good value for money.

We both decided to have the Skate in butter. Unfortunately, we had to wait an hour for it - BUT it was excellent, and worth the wait

Having had three meals, two evening and one breakfast, it has to be said that the food cannot be faulted for the quality. I was a still eating my cereal during breakfast when the full english was brought to my table which I have to say was not what I expected, and felt I had to rush. The staff were professional and polite, very happy with the service.

Booking the restaurant was very easy, unfortunately the carvery was off the menu on Sunday evening but we still had a lovely meal. The breakfast was cooked to order so was also hot which is not always the case, we will be returning very soon.

Left for ages to be seated. Then waited ages for the menu, which didn't have any prices on it?! All decided to have a carvery, very limited choice of vegetables and my father, who is 89 couldn't eat his beef as it was really tough so he left it and he told the waiter there was a problem, who just shrugged his shoulders, although I must say my lamb was lovely. Waited ages for the dessert menu. Didn't have to wait at all for the bill when we asked for it. Staff were polite and friendly when they attended but overall I am sorry to say not my best dining experience at the Oaklands Hotel and at the moment I am wondering if I will be going back?

Staff were pleasant but under staffed for a Saturday night with a few functions on, waited for over half an hour before getting our first drinks at the table, food was nice apart from a rock hard chocolate brownie.and we would have been overcharged by £50 if we had not noticed that we had five rounds of drinks on the bill instead of the 3 rounds that we actually had. so the dining experience was ok
