We dined as a group of 5 on an offer. The menu selection was small but that can be good if you are indecisive re food like me! Salad starter was highly recommended and both main courses were very tasty-the beef tagliata won the vote. Portions were decent and we all felt It was Excellent value for money. The only disappointment was the deserts which was cake (nice enough but not really a pudding) or an underwhelming apple tart. The waiting staff were very attentive and quick to offer alternatives to the starters where the choice wasn’t suitable for one of our party. Overall good food, good service, very good value but puds disappointing.

Six of us got together recently to have lunch at the Montagu Kitchen. We all agreed that we had such a lovely meal in a nice and cool spacious dining room. We took a special offer that was value for money. The service was very friendly.

The restaurant was very elegant and the staff could not have been more attentive, the food was superb and the drinks were not 'silly prices' for central London. Possibly the only slightly negative comment is that it was very quiet so lacking in a little atmosphere but overall a very good dining experience.

We went for the set meal - which was great value. Restaurant staff were wonderful. There was a great buzz in the restaurant. Really enjoyed ourselves.

The choice on the special menu was very limited (two dishes for each of the three courses). There was smoked salmon as a starter and salmon as one of the two options on the main course- not very original. The beef and mushrooms were tasty but there was too mashed potato. The desserts were very disappointing. The lemon cake didn't taste of lemon, it was dry and there was far too much cream on top which I removed. The apple pie was dry and the pastry very solid.
