Lovely meal, we had the venison steak which was perfectly cooked. We will definitely be going back for another meal

Been here many times good food, service and value, as I am using a taste card..

Menu choices very limited - more like a pub menu rather than a hotel choice. If you want burger or fish and chips but not a Sunday lunch this is for you.

Sunday lunch was very enjoyable on the whole, although all parties ( 3 out of 4 felt ) who ordered the roast beef felt it was too rare to enjoy, bearing in mind we all would normally order steak rare elsewhere.
    presentation was amazing on deserts

Whilst the food was good the salmon was not available so I was disappointed with that. Service was quite slow and the waiter was not very friendly almost to the point of being surly.

Staff were friendly and helpful when we arrived for tea following time at the spa on site. We were full of questions particularly regarding the Stilton scones with orange marmalade, which were absolutely delicious. One waitress didn’t seem to know what was what and her apron was rather grubby but the duty manager was wonderful. Maybe staff should try new items on the menu. We will be back.

Pretentious! It pretends to be something it isn’t... glad I didn’t pay for the Gala New Years dinner

it was all too heavy for a special afternoon tea. .The Mulled wine far too big and not really a 'tea' thing, scones were too large. Cakes uninspiring and a mess. We waited a long time for a pot of tea and have had much better in other places. The best bit was the little pot of ????? Don't know what it was but nice, and small. Crackers unnecessary too. Small is beautiful for afternoon tea and cakes should be patisserie standard...
