The service was outstanding, really good food and in my opinion a good price for the service u receive.
There was a gentleman playing the piano and the atmosphere was lovely.

In the booking notes I mentioned it was my husbands birthday and they put table confetti out to.

Inside a beautiful art deco building that curves along the coast of Morecambe Bay, The Midland Hotel Restaurant serves contemporary recipes with stunning sea views from the striking sun terrace, with its floor-to-ceiling windows.

The Midland Hotel Restaurant menu uses fresh produce from across Lancashire, as well as seafood caught out in the bay next to the hotel. To start, there are Morecambe Bay shrimps served warm with toasted sourdough, as well as rabbit ballontine with puy lentils, bacon, carrots and parsley. A range of meats include fillet steak, braised pork belly, and roast rump of Lakeland lamb with soft herb polenta, salsa verde and crispy capers. There are also vegetarian recipes such as butternut squash, ricotta and spinach pancake.

Sumptuous sweet treats to finish include coconut crème brûlée with shortbread biscuit, as well as inventive creations like the salted white chocolate financier with passionfruit and popcorn. There is a great selection of British cheeses, as well as a full wine list.

Also offering a dedicated gluten-free menu, The Midland Hotel Restaurant in Lancashire is a 9-minute walk from Morecambe Rail Station.

The food was a fantastic standard overall. I loved my scallop starter and monkfish main and my partner was thrilled with the lamb. Table service was impeccable- we were brought water and great red wine. The atmosphere was relaxed and we were shown to our table early at our request.

Very good service from bar staff and waiters. Excellent dining experience with a beautiful view over Morecambe Bay, food was nicely presented and very tasty, could not resist the crume brûlée but was spoiled for choice, my friend had the sticky toffee pudding which she said was scrumptious.

Excellent in every way. Perfect table in the window. Welcoming and attentive staff and a beautiful meal. We enjoyed parsnip and honey soup and braised beef and sea bream, the soup of the day. Staff made us feel looked after but unhurried - a combination regularly lacking elsewhere.

Excellent experience, great afternoon tea, good service and fabulous views from the table. A lovely time thank you.

The staff were attentive but not overwhelming. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and served. I must admit I found the hotel itself a bit on the bland side. I had expected a profusion of Art Deco colours, but the contemporary decor was very soothing.

Beautifully located restaurant overlooking the sea. Very soothing piped in music played from the 1920s and 1930s so very English and nostalgic which I really enjoyed and appreciated. Tables well laid and tablecloths spotless. Breakfast is spectacular with lots of choices, sea scenes while you are eating. Waiter and waitress service is high class at breakfast, tea and evening in the restaurant. Afternoon tea is a treat, so why not spoil yourselves and enjoy the laid back music and setting while you are enjoying sandwiches, scones, cakes and speciality teas. The three course evening meals served in the restaurant are of high quality such as they are some of the best restaurant meals I have had. The portion size is fairly generous so go easy on ordering side dishes as you may find you have too much food to get through. There is a good choice of options on the menu. Bread served prior to food being served is quite delicious. However, I do think there could be far more non alcoholic drinks served. There are lots of people who do not drink alcohol and there is not much choice of drinks if you are tee total. There are bottles of non alcoholic wine in the shops and lots of bottles of other non alcoholic drinks and there was very little choice and very few non alcoholic drinks in this restaurant. Be adventurous, lots of people want interesting non alcoholic drinks with the evening meal. There are lots of such drinks on the market and today, such drinks as orange and apple are daytime drinks not drinks to have with a special evening meal, please do research on special non alcoholic drinks for those who are non alcohol drinkers. We still want special drinks with out evening meal in your restaurant.

The main coures of beef and the fish of the day were excellent.
The cheese board was well presented with a good variety and some cheeses we had never tasted before.
Shame about the people at the next table making a scene.
