It was a birthday celebration meal with friends. The waitress Farrah was informative pleasant, polite and observed the present bag with happy birthday printed all over it. After she had advised us on a specialist gin with rhubarb and an additional ginger ale. She promptly served our drinks and also gave us a complimentary glass of Prosecco with a fresh strawberry on the side of the glass. We were thrilled at this point and this set the tone throughout the whole meal. We all chose different foods and everything was beautifully presented,no one was disappointed.. We were in for a real treat... the food and service was excellent... the cost fair... the venue comfortable with back ground music...But most of all there were smiling faces everywhere!!!

Onion fritter ,raw inside, couldn't eat the steak chewy! Lamb was bland, Did mention to waitress, but it was busy so the rest of my party had finished ,she kindly gave me a discount, but I still paid £37 for two drinks, sweet and a few chips. Had a disappointing lunch a couple of month's ago and rebooked thinking it was a one off as The Mirmaid has an nice atmosphere!

the food quality was terrible we had breads to start. Had to ask for more balsamic as it was a bowel of Olive oil with barley any balsamic in there. The green garnish looked like it had been taken out of the bin, wilted and brown. We ordered sirloin steak medium rare for the main . I asked to not have the fritter and have a salad instead and change the chips to sweet potato fries. The steak arrived over cooked with the fritter and more of the same wilted brown green garnish and 4 tomatoes to constitute a salad.i had to ask for salad which I didn't eat as again it looked old. The restaurant was not particularly busy but we still had to wait too long for them to bring over the breads and then the waiter came over 5 mins later to say the steaks were ready and could he bring them out. Which we said yes too. My partner ordered the same steak but his looked a different cut and again over cooked. All in all the food was terrible. Which we pointed out. We will not be going again as this is the second bad meal in concession that we have had
