Restaurant description

In an historic Hammersmith building, The Melody Restaurant in Hammersmith takes its name from a 1971 British film which features several scenes in the then St Paul's School. Adding a modern European twist to classic French cuisine, Fresh, Mediterranean dishes are created using seasonal produce.

The Melody Restaurant menu offers tempting Mediterranean classics like seafood spaghetti and vegetarian risotto, alongside grill favourites. Try a succulent sirloin steak with fresh vegetables and red wine sauce, or grilled chicken fillet with garlic, crushed peppercorns, capers and lime juice. Fish dishes include pan-fried sea bass, grilled tuna steak, and fried king prawns wrapped in smoked salmon and served with homemade dill sauce.

The sophisticated surrounds of The Melody also play host to classic afternoon teas. Melody's open sandwiches, pastries and scones are accompanied by a selection of teas, coffees or champagne.

Close to both Olympia and the Hammersmith Apollo, The Melody Restaurant in London is a 5-minute walk from Barons Court Tube Station.

Wonderful evening all round. Lovely surroundings/ambience, great food but best of all exceptionally thoughtful staff who made the evening really special. We were celebrating a special birthday!

The ambience was appreciated by all four of us. We thought the meal deal menu was great value for money and good choice. If we visit again we would like to try the alacarte menu.

The bottomless afternoon tea was beautiful, our champagne was constantly topped up without us waiting or having to ask. The service was faultless and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. The price was also excellent value for money. Two happy customers who will return.

We had afternoon tea. The service and free flowing champagne was great although we were disappointed with the sandwich selection, the choice and value has definitely not what it used to be.

There was not enough sandwiches only four ,using two slices of bread very disappointed cakes were not homemade and small ,the champagne was ok.Felt ripped off for £ 39.50,if you wanted more sandwiches was asked to pay an extra £2.50.I wouldn’t visit again.

Afternoon tea with old friends. We really enjoyed our time at Melody. The staff were attentive, food lovely and the champagne was certainly free flowing. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. We’ll definitely be returning and recommending the venue.

Beautiful place with lovely Christmas decorations. The sandwichs were delicious and the service was very kind. We had choosed the free flowing champagne option : the champagne is very good (I'm French, so I know champagne!) and our glasses were never empty. We will come back for sure!
