Every aspect was perfect. Went to celebrate with a friend. Would definitely go back . The afternoon tea also looked scrumptious. Beautiful setting & we could hear our conversation .
The service was very good . The star was the food. 10 stars.

In an historic Hammersmith building, The Melody Restaurant in Hammersmith takes its name from a 1971 British film which features several scenes in the then St Paul's School. Adding a modern European twist to classic French cuisine, Fresh, Mediterranean dishes are created using seasonal produce.

The Melody Restaurant menu offers tempting Mediterranean classics like seafood spaghetti and vegetarian risotto, alongside grill favourites. Try a succulent sirloin steak with fresh vegetables and red wine sauce, or grilled chicken fillet with garlic, crushed peppercorns, capers and lime juice. Fish dishes include pan-fried sea bass, grilled tuna steak, and fried king prawns wrapped in smoked salmon and served with homemade dill sauce.

The sophisticated surrounds of The Melody also play host to classic afternoon teas. Traditional sandwiches, pastries and scones are accompanied by a selection of teas, coffees or champagne. Oozing traditional British elegance, the restaurant serves a range of chic cocktails. Every Sunday, Melody hosts a lavish Sunday Roast on a carvery with many changing starters and desserts. From the Melody Whisky Bar, sample more than 200 whiskies from around the world including exclusive and rare labels.

Close to both Olympia and the Hammersmith Apollo, The Melody Restaurant in London is a 5-minute walk from Barons Court Tube Station.

A lovely location and restaurant. Service attentive but not pushy. Only 2 vegetarian main course choices. Food OK but not exceptional.

4 of us dined at the hotel for Afternoon tea. The normal afternoon tea sandwiches were delicious, however the vegetarian and dairy free selection were not very nice. Overall a nice place to visit. The unlimited champagne was a nice added touch.

Great experience. Lovely sandwiches and the best carrot cake I have ever had. The champagne was very free flowing and our glass was never empty. My mother and partner and I had an amazing time.

My only recommendation is to improve the quality and selection of tea. Loose leaf tea would have made this a 5 star experience.

Excellent all round, particularly the staff who were great.

Very quaint hotel with a nice ambience. I had read on trip advisor, whilst on route, that you have to pay for extra rounds of sandwiches (£4 a round) so I wasn’t totally surprised, however, I have to say that in all the years that I have experienced afternoon teas, this is the first time ever that extra sandwiches have had to be paid for. The fillings were pleasant, and we asked for brown bread which wasn’t a problem. We had the free flowing champagne experience which is for 2 hrs and it was very drinkable, as were the tea choices. The view from the dining room, of an area of grass, could have been made more attractive with some weeding.
An enjoyable afternoon but I would not return purely because of the extra charge.

My wife and I had afternoon tea here. Staff were very welcoming from the start and the tea was all you could want. A tasty mix of finger sandwiches, scones (plain and fruit) and little cakes and fancies. Add to this the decor and the building, both very English country house, astonishing to think you're virtually in the centre of buzzy, busy Hammersmith! The restaurant was surprisingly empty, which was a shame as the ambiance suffered a little as a result.

My girlfriend and I went for a birthday meal in April and were treated very rudely by staff. We had to ask four times for the complimentary champagne included with our 3 course deal and all the waitresses were very short with us, including the manager. The only positive was the food.

I would not return or recommend, it ruined what was supposed to be a nice occasion.
