In an historic Hammersmith building, The Melody Restaurant in Hammersmith takes its name from a 1971 British film which features several scenes in the then St Paul's School. Adding a modern European twist to classic French cuisine, Fresh, Mediterranean dishes are created using seasonal produce.

The Melody Restaurant menu offers tempting Mediterranean classics like seafood spaghetti and vegetarian risotto, alongside grill favourites. Try a succulent sirloin steak with fresh vegetables and red wine sauce, or grilled chicken fillet with garlic, crushed peppercorns, capers and lime juice. Fish dishes include pan-fried sea bass, grilled tuna steak, and fried king prawns wrapped in smoked salmon and served with homemade dill sauce.

The sophisticated surrounds of The Melody also play host to classic afternoon teas. Traditional sandwiches, pastries and scones are accompanied by a selection of teas, coffees or champagne. Oozing traditional British elegance, the restaurant serves a range of chic cocktails. Every Sunday, Melody hosts a lavish Sunday Roast on a carvery with many changing starters and desserts. From the Melody Whisky Bar, sample more than 200 whiskies from around the world including exclusive and rare labels.

Close to both Olympia and the Hammersmith Apollo, The Melody Restaurant in London is a 5-minute walk from Barons Court Tube Station.

Whisky tasting in Victorian Hotel. Tasted 5 whiskies, had a sheet of paper to rate them in with smell, taste etc
Seemed a shame there was very little explaination at the beginning, although we were shown the whisky bottles at the end.

Great place for afternoon tea, Attentive service. However we had a wheelchair user who had to negotiate 2 steps to access the hotel - not good!

A very enjoyable experience. Our glasses were constantly filled and the cakes were to die for. The surroundings were beautiful. The weather was awful on the day we went but the restaurant was warm, cosy and friendly which took the winter blues away. To sum up i woukd definitely book this location again.

Came here last year and it was great. Won`t be coming back unless things change, asked for a few more finger sandwiches and was told we would have to pay £8.00 for them ordered them but was not happy. 95% of the places we have had afternoon at have given us a few extra finger sandwiches if asked for, they must only cost a few pence to make.

A lovely relaxed restaurant with attentive service and beautiful surroundings

Despite the rather formal appearance of the restaurant the atmosphere was relaxed and the service friendly, if a touch slow for an almost empty restaurant. We had a toddler with us who behaved well and was tolerated in a friendly manner. The food was good but, perhaps, not quite value for money.

Nice location and felt cosy and Christmassy, the Staff were attentive and kept refilling our glasses with having to be asked but overall I feel that the food was not up to par. The sandwiches did not have enough filling in, crusts were still on some of them and the bread was cheap. The cakes were dry and seemed shop bought with no flavour!! I shall not return.
