It was a nice experience spending some hours at Melody restaurant. The a la carte dishes were tasty too.

In an historic Hammersmith building, The Melody Restaurant in Hammersmith takes its name from a 1971 British film which features several scenes in the then St Paul's School. Adding a modern European twist to classic French cuisine, Fresh, Mediterranean dishes are created using seasonal produce.

The Melody Restaurant menu offers tempting Mediterranean classics like seafood spaghetti and vegetarian risotto, alongside grill favourites. Try a succulent sirloin steak with fresh vegetables and red wine sauce, or grilled chicken fillet with garlic, crushed peppercorns, capers and lime juice. Fish dishes include pan-fried sea bass, grilled tuna steak, and fried king prawns wrapped in smoked salmon and served with homemade dill sauce.

The sophisticated surrounds of The Melody also play host to classic afternoon teas. Traditional sandwiches, pastries and scones are accompanied by a selection of teas, coffees or champagne. Oozing traditional British elegance, the restaurant serves a range of chic cocktails. Every Sunday, Melody hosts a lavish Sunday Roast on a carvery with many changing starters and desserts. From the Melody Whisky Bar, sample more than 200 whiskies from around the world including exclusive and rare labels.

Close to both Olympia and the Hammersmith Apollo, The Melody Restaurant in London is a 5-minute walk from Barons Court Tube Station.

Our dining experience was very enjoyable - a birthday lunch with two friends. All dishes are presented beautifully and taste equally wonderful! A very good time was had. The afternoon tea that we saw others have around us also looked very good - perhaps something to return for.

A hidden gem on West London. Often passed this red brick gothic building before it's renovation and transformation into the St Paul Hotel and Melody Restaurant. As soon as you enter the courtyard you immediately feel a calmness a stark contrast to the busy main road outside. Greeted with a very warm welcome all the staff here are friendly and cannot do enough. We had only booked for the Sunday roast at a very reasonable price of £20 for a main course. The lamb was succulent (only let down by a lack of trimming to remove the sinus.) was a hearty portion beautifully presented with a selection of vegetables. Roasted carrots, french beans, red cabbage and cauliflower cheese all perfectly cooked and piping hot. The roast potatoes were the very best I have ever had in a restaurant by far. Golden brown and crispy outside, fluffy on the inside. If only we had booked for the full 3 courses. We will definitely be going back soon to try their afternoon tea.

My friend and I visited Melody for a late afternoon tea. We were pleased to find the tea room was completely ours as our booking was for 6pm. She is gluten free and the kitchen had no problem providing her with a GF assortment of cakes and sandwiches. I got the normal menu and found it delicious. The tea selection was lovely but the very best part was the champagne. Free flowing really means free flowing. My glass was never empty in our 2.5 hour session. It was WELL worth the affordable £39 price. I will definitely be back again. Thank you to everyone at the Melody at St. Paul’s.
