Elegant but relaxed restaurant, friendly service. Great cocktails- particularly the New York sour. We were able to talk, relax and not feel hurried.

In an historic Hammersmith building, The Melody Restaurant in Hammersmith takes its name from a 1971 British film which features several scenes in the then St Paul's School. Adding a modern European twist to classic French cuisine, Fresh, Mediterranean dishes are created using seasonal produce.

The Melody Restaurant menu offers tempting Mediterranean classics like seafood spaghetti and vegetarian risotto, alongside grill favourites. Try a succulent sirloin steak with fresh vegetables and red wine sauce, or grilled chicken fillet with garlic, crushed peppercorns, capers and lime juice. Fish dishes include pan-fried sea bass, grilled tuna steak, and fried king prawns wrapped in smoked salmon and served with homemade dill sauce.

The sophisticated surrounds of The Melody also play host to classic afternoon teas. Traditional sandwiches, pastries and scones are accompanied by a selection of teas, coffees or champagne. Oozing traditional British elegance, the restaurant serves a range of chic cocktails. Every Sunday, Melody hosts a lavish Sunday Roast on a carvery with many changing starters and desserts. From the Melody Whisky Bar, sample more than 200 whiskies from around the world including exclusive and rare labels.

Close to both Olympia and the Hammersmith Apollo, The Melody Restaurant in London is a 5-minute walk from Barons Court Tube Station.

Nice location and felt cosy and Christmassy, the Staff were attentive and kept refilling our glasses with having to be asked but overall I feel that the food was not up to par. The sandwiches did not have enough filling in, crusts were still on some of them and the bread was cheap. The cakes were dry and seemed shop bought with no flavour!! I shall not return.

It was a beautiful restaurant to have afternoon tea. In a secluded area so away from main traffic and cars. The decor was very luxurious. The sandwiches and cakes were lovely. Fresh scones with a dusting of icing sugar. Bought the voucher through buy a gift so the amount of food given was very good value for money. The service was very nice, friendly staff. They did come back and check that we were okay refilled our tea and coffee each time we wanted. They were kind enough to allow us to use one of their private rooms to pray. Had a lovely evening. Lovely quiet ambience. We went on a Friday, 3pm booking. Great time to have afternoon tea before the business of the dinner guests. As we couldn't finish all the desserts, they gave us a take away container so that we could take it home which was great, the only disappointment was that the containers were the yellow polystyrene ones you get at a fast food take away place. I would have expected a nice box with their logo as this is a high end restaurant. But other than that, a great place to go for afternoon tea.
