We were made to feel very welcome and the food was delicious. The staff actually took time to talk to our 4 year old grandson which meant so much to all of us - thank you

Situated on the River Yare and the small waterways south of Norwich, The Marsh Harrier has enjoyed its beautiful location since 1840. Tastefully refurbished, it serves classic British pub cuisine in a rustic design, with log piles, a vintage brick hearth and homely trinkets adorning the furniture. The al fresco beer garden for summer dining boasts fantastic views of the eye-catching building and surrounding countryside.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Marsh Harrier menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Marsh Harrier ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

At just 5 minutes’ drive from Norwich, The Marsh Harrier is the perfect country destination close to the city.

The food is great but every time we go (and I mean EVERY time)one of the things one of us has ordered they haven't got. Very disappointing.

Average roast for above average price. Dude orders came too late to eat with the meal. Not particularly hot and had to keep asking for more gravy.

The food was ok, would of liked more than a mouthful of chips. The service however was terrible. We had to go to the bar for condements and after our meal we had to go to the bar to pay. Looked like we had been forgotten. We didn’t get offered a dessert menu either. Plates were left as well.
    Very poor.

Long wait for food and drinks. Having eaten here before portion sizes have gone down. If food on menu is unavailable please tell customer when you give them the menu not after they have chosen!

We had a table booked for 7pm o. Sunday. When we arrived we were told they had run out of roasts (which is what we came for) this is not the first time this has happened on a Sunday.

I went there with my Mum and Mum had Hunter Chicken. She didn’t enjoyed because the meat quite tough chewing also she ordered wine spirit, should be with wine lemonade. She think serve with soda so she had told waiter about it and they serve us free hot drink which is good.

Food was excellent and the service friendly and professional. There was a bit of a wait for desert but it was a very busy Sunday.

We tend to go here for special occasions and this time we were a bit disappointed. My husband and I both ordered lamb shank but we received slices of lamb (no warning) and the Yorkshire puddings were more like frisbees!
We will go back again but if it doesn't improve they will be off our list!
